Gwakasonné - Algérie 62 (Guadaloupe, 1984)

Gwakasonné is the ecstatic articulation of Robert Oumaou's artistic and political vision, a unified expression of his interests in American jazz, pre-colonial rhythms, the independence of Guadaloupe, and Creole poetics. Over the course of three albums, all released in the 1980s, Robert has led an ever-evolving cast of musicians, a venerable group of avant-jazz pioneers. Creole protest folk, electronics, ambient atmospheres, music of the African diaspora, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and spiritual jazz blend together in this timeless classic.

El Ombligo de la Luna: Mexican Psych, Funk & Latin Soul with Carlos René

I confess, I've been obsessed with this channel, My Analog Journal, for months now. Highly recommended.

Pete Brown And Piblokto - Things May Come and Things May Go but the Art School of Dance Goes on Forever
the title track of this album (along with the evergreen High flying electric bird) and that great album Thousands on a raft are my favorite things by Pete Brown ⚡

La Loora - Red Braverie
The umpteenth German cult band of Experimental school This Heat infused with Post Punk and Free Jazz. I discovered them thanks to Berlin Atonal 1984 where they shared the stage with the divine Psychic TV... if you play alongside Genesis P-Orridge, there must be a reason 👽

The Byrds - Wasn't Born To Follow (Easy Rider) (1969)
Guys, I don't want to be the usual bore, but is a film like this with music like that feasible today?
( and with actors like these!)

Love will tear us apart - The Swans
The song is already sad on its own, but when Gira sings it, it becomes even more so.

Kraftwerk - Autobahn (Single version 1974) I really struggle to listen to this one.

Bootsy Collins - I'd Rather Be With You
He’s always a bit “high” live, but the bass is a part of the body…
