#Bivi § Ministry - The Land Of Rape And Honey
A true industrial nightmare, rhythmic memories raped and slammed against a wall covered in illegible slogans marked by grease stains. "Dance of the Pigs" drugged and headed for the chain of a slaughterhouse. Sublimation of a violence born from a mechanical heart, an initiatory dance for future pairings with the clattering of electric wires. Here, the violence is still embryonic yet expresses itself with an unheard-of imploded violence that can never be exceeded.

#BIVI § velvet underground - venus in furs
A Venus in tight black rubber, "Put out your cigarettes on my white skin." You enjoy watching as I strip off my fur and gently whip me. I shine with your pain that you unload onto me to feel pure. I, Venus, become increasingly luminous in front of your secrets, healing the scars of your dirty soul. No one will ever know. But always dirty.

One of the absolute peaks of all Metal. A 1995 album that must never be forgotten.

discipline - King Crimson

For the noble group of the Last Trace, here you have "Discipline," the final track of the eponymous album that marked one of the many resurrections of the Crimson King from his own ashes, the best, the most fruitful, the one that granted the king the right to seize music that until then no one suspected he could dare to touch, not even remotely... and here comes the Alien himself, with the trusted Bruford on drums, Tony Levin on stick, and none other than Adrian Belew, fresh from the bands of Zappa and Bowie (just to say), mixing the most technological and fresh waters of the prevailing new wave with the less worn-out styles of prog in a sensational album that caused a stir for the originality of its choices and its anti-conformism... Ladies and gentlemen...

Caught off guard and hit with fish in the face and tomatoes by those who were expecting Damaged due the revenge, the album is divided into two parts, the first Beach-Punk to provide continuity and the second the more interesting and seminal proto that anticipated Doom Sludge and Mathcore a few years ahead of its time. Time has proven them right, well done.

Immense and perhaps unrepeatable, alas.

#BIVI § Dead Can Dance - The Host Of Seraphim
Soundtrack for the apocalypse, that's the feeling I get when I hear this work. Their music was outside the gears of time. Not everything is crystal clear; too much ruins. A diamond of the 4AD aesthetic, it helped me look through the peephole into a portion of new worlds and search for the key to open. A push to explore new levels, to detach, to think and to try. A key to the desire to be curious. "A small step, but a leap for my appetite as a musical omnivore. The PC didn't exist yet, and I bought intuitively, based on the name. Therefore, I stumbled upon the second volume of the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band. But those are other #BIVI.

#BIVI § The Jesus And Mary Chain - You Trip Me Up (Official Video)
"My television broke," was my first thought when I saw one of their videos. Breakup record, before and after. After all, nothing new, but nothing is destroyed and everything transforms, through the lens of a bush of hair that obscures your view with distortions and all the knobs turned up to the max. But this is legend; to achieve those sounds, you had an idea and knew where to place your hands. Moving the genuine Rock'n'roll tuft. And then, sorry, he was beating the drums, a guy who consumed veggies and drugs, and as his first step, he reinterpreted in his own way an ode to the Love.

#BIVI § The smiths- Reel around the fountain lyrics
They didn't change my life; I consider it superior without taking anything away. But listening to Their music, I spent afternoons with my first hairs, feeling less alone while waiting for the phone to ring. Their music has been a delayed love affair, and fortunately, deep down, I continue to wait for that phone that always keeps alive emotions almost lost in time. I believe this is marvelous for one of the many songs that dance in my mind.

Big Country - Wonderland Give me summer and these sounds at least once a week for the whole year.

The implausibles.

Perhaps it's obvious, but even open-goal shots need to be scored. The profession of Latin crooner tailored for the enjoyment of mature female audiences isn’t for everyone, nor can one pretend to be Julio without actually being one. (He too had a career cut short in its infancy, but the parallels with the madrileno and madridista don’t go further, and couldn’t).

It’s not even enough to have a name ending in -ela, as long as it’s not Manuela. And it’s not sufficient to have a phone receiver with wings.

Big Country - Flame Of The West A band I used to listen to lightly ten years ago (and guess which song? Of course "In A Big Country" on loop), but a few months ago I wanted to delve deeper into their music and I must say their first two albums are awesome!
