They just aired on a national radio station a clip from a old (seems to be the last) interview with Lucio Battisti, 20 years after his death. Battisti talked about his creative process full of contrasts, from the continuous desire to compose refined music for a few to the same time mass music. About not often knowing which direction to take at the beginning, of unplanned and unexpected results in the end. Of songs that were sometimes terrible that came out. In short, about the chaos in his way of creating and composing music. Practically the same considerations that I read a few years ago expressed by Wayne Coyne regarding the composition method of the Flaming Lips. I didn't know that the FL were also fans of Battisti and had been inspired by his musical thought. I didn't know that my nickname could have been invented by Battisti (zaireeka = Zaire, as a symbol of primitive chaos, + eureka, as "I found it," discovery or unexpected result) Lucio Battisti - Il Nostro Caro Angelo
