I close the debatable triptych entitled by myself with the final installment of "the films I adored as a child" (I’m lying, it’s a masterpiece):
Logan's Run, 1976 - directed by Michael Anderson, main protagonist Michael York
We are in 2274, and the events described in the narrative have yet to occur: a hypothetical nuclear war exterminates humankind, and the survivors live in a closed-off, brilliant, and festive world created for that purpose: sex is only for fun, reproduction is done through cloning, and after the age of 30, to avoid the danger of overpopulation, through a sort of ascetic rite, one moves towards regeneration and reincarnation, or rather, this is what the mega computer controller makes the inhabitants believe... Logan5 is part of the system, but once he discovers the "principles" on which this system is based, Logan flees.
In the first two works, we played with contemporary analogies of the pandemic and climate change, but what are we playing with here? The points for reflection are more than one: cloning as the exclusive reproductive method, the programmed termination of the individual, the use of human flesh for food, atomic warfare, the control of living beings through a central computer system, and… the others, I don’t know, find them yourself, Kisses :-*

The second film on today's lineup concerning "The films I adored as a child" (the column is always the same, with a capital ERRE, namely The Disputable Triptychs of Aleph) is:
The Last Wave, 1977 - directed by Peter Wier, starring Richard Chamberlain.
The film is set in a contemporary time frame but without a precise date, with the location being Australia. It is permeated by a dark atmosphere surrounding something imminent, through the protagonist's dreamlike premonitions, who is white and seemingly disconnected from the local culture. This contrasts with the Aboriginal world, with all its secrets stemming from shamanism.
Humanity still exists, but for a short while; the catastrophe, this time climatic, is, according to the Aboriginal people, cyclical and relentless—the last wave will submerge the land; it hasn't been the first time and it won't be the last.
The point in this case is the climate. Could one have hypothesized a childish and gigantic rise of waters in the '70s? Ridiculous… well, not so much, Kisses ;)

Welcome back to the listening (for those who want to spare me a little charity) of the exclusive and elite column I Discutibili Trittici di Aleph.
Today's episode titled: “The films I adored as a child” reveals, besides my relatively venerable youthful age, a certain taste for a cinematic genre quite typical of the pre-proto-adolescent age, characterized by a love for particular apocalyptic visions not always praised by critics.
The first film I propose is:
OMEGA MAN - 1975: White Eyes on Planet Earth, from 1971 - directed by Boris Sagal, starring Charlton Heston.
Without unrolling the entire plot (those interested can easily search for it on the Internet), I propose just one personal point of reflection: The film is based on a story from the 1950s (I am Legend, surely rings a bell) set in 1975. Humanity is almost gone due to a catastrophic biological war that has created monstrous mutants with white eyes, and our hero tries to find a way to save what remains of the healthy living beings by searching for a vaccine.
The point is 1975. Could one have hypothesized a pandemic in the 1970s? Ridiculous… well, not so much after all. Kisses ;)
