Beatles While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Sometimes I would go to George's house to play guitar and trip out with him, and gradually our friendship began to grow.

One day, it must have been the beginning of September '68, George took me to the Abbey Road studios, where they were recording.

When we arrived, he told me they needed to record one of his songs and asked me to play the guitar.

I was taken by surprise and thought it was a strange request since he was the lead guitarist of the Beatles and had done a good job on their albums.

I was also quite flattered, as it wasn't every day that someone got asked to play alongside the Beatles.

I hadn't brought my guitar, so I borrowed his.

It seemed to me that John and Paul were trying to diminish George's and Ringo's contributions to the group.

George regularly saw his songs get rejected for every album.

I believe he hoped that our friendship would give him some support and that inviting me to play there could strengthen his position and earn him more respect.

I was quite nervous, as Paul and John were confident, while I was an outsider, but everything went well.

The song in question was "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"; we only needed one take, and the result was fantastic.

@[Mojoman] did you not include this in the roundup of tracks that broke?

If I Was Your Man (Live from Japan)
Let's continue with the great Joe, another singer dedicated to picking up girls.

Wake - Here Comes Everybody
A lot of chill out/dream pop from the 2000s (think M83 or Tame Impala) owes everything to these ethereal, suspended, dreamy grooves of Wake. Here Comes Everybody is an album I highly recommend along with the singles Talk About the Past, Something Outside, and the triptych Drill, Host, and Uniform recorded by John Peel.
P.S. The debut Harmony is a pale copy of the New Order’s Movement.

Jim Capaldi - Don't Be A Hero

Good job, this Capaldi, already heard elsewhere, I think.....

Snoop Dogg - Let's get blown (Pharell) Another classic r e b, Pharrell Williams alternates gems with nonsense.

Midnight Oil - Read About It
But how awesome is the drummer?! 💥

Gatti Rossi In Un Labirinto di vetro (1975) Film completo in italiano

@[IlConte]: the movie is half a dud, but it's filled with scantily clad ladies. Give it a look.

Intro I pay my tribute to r e b with this great album by DMX, even though I prefer the second one. This song in particular holds symbolic value as it was Tyson's entrance music after his 3 years in prison.

The Bevis Frond - Little Eden (Official Video)
Man does not live on Amy alone.

GAZNEVADA "beirut ovest"
I have never disliked their wave phase; on the contrary... this is a gem.

Midnight Oil - Power and the Passion
My favorite Australians along with Church, Icehouse, Men at Work, and INXS.

Bill Evans - You Must Believe In Spring
