Once upon a time, there was a man who played the guitar beautifully, playing jazz; he was the best. One evening, Death came to him and told him to come with her, but he replied that he wasn’t ready yet, he still had to play his guitar for a long time. Annoyed, Death left, but before fading away, she cast a spell on him: “You have challenged me; you did not want to come with me to play your guitar. I will make sure that you will remember nothing of your beautiful notes.” She put him to sleep. The man woke up confused, so confused that he remembered nothing at all; he did not know his friends, he did not know who he was, but above all, he did not remember that once he played the guitar. One evening, a friend gave him an album by a jazz guitarist. “Listen to it,” he said. The man liked that melody so much that he declared he absolutely wanted to meet that jazz musician and learn to play the guitar like him. “But you are that musician!” his friend confessed to him. And the man learned once again to play the guitar, wonderfully: he was the best, once again. The man grew old playing and composing. Death came again to compliment him: “You have done well; you have lived twice, and you have managed to learn to play the guitar twice. You truly love it, so aren’t you tired?” The man replied: “No, I will never get tired, but this time I will come with you; I will play for you forever.”
