Anyway, for those few who didn't know, at fourteen, Uncle Frank received his first instrument as a gift from his mom, uh, a snare drum...

Robert Johnson - Me and the Devil Blues

On the night of August 16, 1938, Robert Johnson died.

As could be expected, his death is shrouded in mystery.

Many versions circulated about it; some said he was stabbed, or that he was killed by a woman.

The most credible version so far is that he was poisoned by the husband of one of his lovers.

But the mystery doesn't end here, as there are three different places where they say the body of the "Most important blues musician to ever live" (in the words of Sir Eric Patrick Clapton), "I have never found anything more profoundly intense, and his music remains the most heart-wrenching cry I think can be encountered in the human voice."

#edsullivanshow

From 1948 to 1971, every Sunday evening Ed Sullivan hosted the greatest and most famous artists on his show, broadcasting on CBS. About ten years ago, re-released in 12 DVDs, an Italian newspaper published the best performances. I'm sharing them again, there are truly wonderful things.
