#unaltrochesiannoiavapoco

A semi-serious journey through the discography and countless collaborations of Tony Levin, in almost chronological order.

B.J. Thomas "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head" on The Ed Sullivan Show

#edsullivanshow

From 1948 to 1971, every Sunday night Ed Sullivan hosted the biggest and most famous artists on his show, aired on CBS. About ten years ago, reissued in 12 DVDs, an Italian newspaper published the best performances. I’m sharing them again; there are truly wonderful things.

Diabolik Film 1968 Do you think it will ever be possible for me to be working with a window frame manufacturer called Ginko? The film in question is simply and adorably pop.

The Greenhornes - It Returns (Official Video)

This album has been a drug for years...
I'd take it anywhere - I’d bet Physical Graffiti, Waiting For The Sun, and In Rock…
Not a single track misses the mark, I mean…

This is so Nirvana style, I didn't remember it.

_"There's A Star Above The Manager Tonight" • Red Red Meat - Just Like An Egg On Stilts

This commendable showcase, based on the initiative of @[asterics], concludes beautifully (or dismally, depending on one's perspective) - it has traversed lush harmonic gardens, horrid expanses of desolation, windy deserts, furious metallic fires, and much more, during a musically fruitful and encyclopedic period - with this elegantly awkward ballet of rusty scraps, from an album as surprising as it is challenging and charismatic, where every element (melodies, rhythm, arrangements) is timbrically made of annoyance. The key is not to stiffen up.

THE GORIES -SMASHED

Let’s give it a shot, I rarely finish them anyway… just Childish, maybe.

So here we go. Raise your straws, in order: the primordial Delta Blues, the one of moonshine, of juke joints, the one that could really kill you like Robert Johnson, then the loudest, most abused and authentic Rock 'n' Roll à la Screamin Jay Hawkins, and following that a Soul so Black that Mr Please Please Please bowed down nobly...
Okay, shake it all in your mouth and hock it up (what a noble image!!!) like the worst fucking punk would…
Where?! In a filthy and most noble Garage in Detroit, where the hell else?!!

Mick Collins, I’m going to indulge in this NeGro heavily and repeatedly.

I have given my pain the shape of abused words that I promise never to speak again.
