The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary

And I thought that DeBasio closed after 7:00 PM.
Had I known earlier, in the last few years I would have gone to bed later than 6:30 PM.

Cat Stevens - Wild World
It's truly a wild world, but not in a good way.

Hey Little Bird (Original Mono Single)

Essential Albums: “THE BARBARIANS” d

That said, I don't agree with the Reverend. In my opinion, it's not an essential album even though it has some remarkable tracks but above all a Rock'n'roll story that deserves… I'll tell it in some episodes - and here, thanks Rev -

A little tale… continues… Part 4 and last episode: “… the album is not that punk orgy ante litteram that Hey Little Bird (a single from two years earlier that is not included, which we’ll add): it leans more towards folk and basic rock’n’roll or even towards Champs-brand instruments, but there are a couple - three I’d say that they put - ignorant things in there…”

Moulty and his hook, his place next to Jerry Lee, John Lennon, the T-Rex… and the Ramones.

Nice story. The Rev & IlConte (56)

The Cavemanish Boys-long black road

This time I disagree with the Reverend. This is a great album, loaded onto a USB yesterday and blasting through the car speakers this morning. I don't know who suggested it to me with a listen or what…

The Contortions - Dish It Out (1978) This is how one of my all-time favorite albums starts, bringing together in one shot that quadrilateral of crazy talent that goes from Mr. mad-funk James Chance's Contortions to the DNA of a certain Arto Lindsay (and a certain Ikue Mori and a certain Robin Lee Crutchfield) who will go on to do a few things after, passing through the orgasmic mess of Lydia Lunch from Teenage Jesus & the Jerks and the noise annoyance of Mars, whose members will split into various projects, some intersecting with members of DNA. All under the watchful eye of Briaianino. From Isola Deserta, but for real. In my top 10-15, those albums, in short.

THE LAST DRIVE I LOVE CINDY

These Greeks are really great, unknown to me until yesterday, savansadir.

King Hannah - The Moods That I Get In (Official Audio)
November 2022 with King Hannah and a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful album, so many great songs and at least 3 stunning ones, already mentioned; this is the second, it starts like the best Mazzy Star and ends like a psychedelic pill from Neil Young, with the advantage that it delights me for 8 minutes instead of beating me up for 20.

El Regreso

She was awarded the Latin Grammy 2022 at 95 years old and nothing...

Broken Things

Besides Mick Collins, another beautiful bastard Devil-Wizard of the genre is Greg - Oblivians - Cartwright. Legendary with the Oblivians, immense with the Compulsive Gamblers, and superb with this other magnificent creature of his.

With Too Much Guitar you tell yourself “okay, he made the masterpiece album with his Reigning Sound,” and instead, what does this cursed bastard do?! He makes you wait a long five years and then throws a wonderful album at you, a “moody & melancholic” - his words - side of the Oblivians sound. You can't define it... it takes you back to your adolescence with sounds full of sixties moods, R&B, soul but also infused with that traditional American sound…
And with that bastard voice, winking… in spite of the 17 octaves of the “great singer” of whom I couldn’t care less… that animates this splendid bastard…

Stunning… it seems even Van The Man has bowed down…
