Tim Buckley - Song to the Siren
I don't know if I've posted this before, but this man has an amazing voice.

Well, tonight you will go out and stay out late, very late, you'll be with friends and have a blast, or you'll be with little kids and still have a blast chasing them or playing among bouncy castles, ball pool, various beach games. You’ll come home still excited and adrenaline-fueled but not enough to indulge in sensual cuddling (you might think about that tomorrow morning early).

SO: there’s no better moment to enjoy in peace another superb blaxploitation film:
BLACULA, 1972 - directed by William Crain, featuring the theatrical actor William Marshall as Prince Mamuwalde/Blacula alongside Vonetta McGee as his beloved.

While the plot follows the classic Dracula in a police-style narrative, set in modern Los Angeles, the rest, including actors, sets, and costumes, is very much of the black community. The horror special effects are somewhat rudimentary and at times embarrassing, but maybe that’s part of its charm in their authenticity.

The soundtrack is obviously not gothic but wonderfully funk (and soul), perhaps less impactful than the OST of Coffy but pulsating and well-executed.
I'll leave you the link to the movie (it says Deutsch but it’s in English):

Then I'll leave you the link to the soundtrack by Gene Page:
Blacula (1972) Original Soundtrack Complete
and a song performed in the film by The Hues Corporation: There He Is Again, beautiful and danceable.

I won’t say much because all of this is the result of last night's viewing. Whoever knows more will tell me. Kisses ;)
