When the CD was over I felt like crying. Metallica died along with Cliff Burton. Death Magnetic, aptly titled, Metallica are attracted to suicide, is a huge copy paste.

This album is really spectacular; of course, it’s nothing like the legendary Master of Puppets, but still worthy of great note. An adrenaline-pumping and headbanging album that brings Metallica from Load and Reload back to angry Metallica.

This is a 'copy-paste' album by a band plagiarizing itself. You realize that James Hetfield probably left his voice between the lines of the 'Black Album.'

Many of the solos on this CD are poorly played or lack imagination, and James’ voice... is just too high and not very suited to this type of music. Not a complete flop like 'St Anger', not as poor as 'Reload', but still too little, too little.

With this album, the rediscovered Four Horsemen ride high again on the treacherous paths of Thrash Metal. Death Magnetic is better than the infamous Black Album, which I never considered more than a good album.

It’s an album that invades the veins with power and metal, making your heart pump blood like no one has ever done before. 'My Apocalypse' serves as the 'metal militia' in 'Kill 'Em All,' fast and killer, making it perfect to close a thrash-metal album that’s the best of 2008.

James is always number one with his powerful and manly voice, Lars is excellent, Kirk, plus the new entry Robert Trujillo, are no less, and their way of playing is, how shall we say... MAGNETIC!! It’s not "Master Of Puppets" nor "And Justice For All", but it’s played with the usual mastery, and moreover, it has done very well.

Once again Metallica fails to extricate themselves from the creative torpor in which they have been immersed since 1991. The only flaw of the song is its length, more than seven minutes is definitely too long.

Metallica is not Slipknot, and they know when it’s time to show their mettle and prove who they are. Metallica is still there. The album is very good, for 2008 it’s the best they could do.

Metallica blended all the things they had already composed with some new creations, and the result wasn’t a failure but rather a good piece of work. The Horsemen have successfully stayed current, rising honorably from the mud, delivering an enjoyable album in these rushing times.

Death Magnetic is a mediocre album; those who are fans of Metallica will love it and buy it, while others can easily do without it. This Death Magnetic is the album of Metallica’s return to thrash, but it’s still halfway; there are flashes of old-style Metallica, but some songs are boring and some are entirely out of place.

Metallica is back with new ideas, a bit of the old style that made us love them, but also with a new polish. The four horsemen pour into our ears a river of metal with melodic little fish swimming to avoid the more modern new metal nets.
