Echobrain is an album that pisses me off. If it had been released four or five years earlier, music critics would have hailed it as a masterpiece.

A true musician like Newsted... risked offering a work that conveys many more sensations compared to the usual demonic screams.

Echobrain marks Jason Newsted’s brave venture beyond Metallica, blending honest pop rock with innovative English-inspired sounds. Despite Metallica’s criticisms, the album showcases strong synergy between Newsted, Brian Sagrafena, and Dylan Donkin. Highlight tracks like 'Adrift' and 'Ghosts' appeal especially to fans of Queens of the Stone Age and Soundgarden. Though it’s a departure from heavy metal, Echobrain offers memorable melodies and artistic growth. Listen to Echobrain and explore Jason Newsted’s unique take on rock beyond Metallica!

Walkaway is the track placed towards the end of the album that is worth the price of admission.

All of AllChange is actually imbued with positive sensations, and I can’t help but recommend it to those who need to abandon.

Cast's All Change is a significant album that reflects John Power's transition from The La's to leading his own melodic rock band. With influences from '90s English music culture, the album balances electric energy with folk sensibility. Notable tracks like Walkaway capture a melancholic but optimistic tone. The album is highly recommended for those seeking uplifting and heartfelt rock music. Listen to Cast's All Change and experience the heartfelt melodic rock of '90s England!

"The chapters of this record present themselves proudly and boldly, catching you off guard while doing so."

"Aurora is none other than Mother Nature in her movements on stage and in what she wants to represent; an existentialism that I believe we need."

Aurora’s album 'Infections Of A Different Kind (Step 1)' is praised for its emotional depth and European electronic pop sensitivity. The Norwegian artist delivers a focused and substantial collection of eight songs tackling heavy themes like abuse with powerful vocals and minimalist arrangements. The album stands out as one of the best releases of the year, embodying an existential essence linked to nature. Listen to Aurora’s 'Infections Of A Different Kind (Step 1)' and experience a breathtaking blend of emotion and electronic pop artistry.

One of the reasons I consider this album their best is especially the successful lineup that came together.

'What Do I Have To Do' is the most famous single by Stabbing Westward; less heavy but more powerful than the others.

Stabbing Westward's 'Wither Blister Burn + Peel' stands out as their best album due to a strong lineup and memorable tracks like 'Shame' and 'What Do I Have To Do.' The band merges gothic, post-punk, and industrial influences with emotional intensity. Produced by John Fryer, the album holds a unique place in the 90s industrial genre and avoids being a mere copy of Nine Inch Nails. Its singles gained notable MTV airplay, highlighting the band's passionate performance and distinct sound. Dive into Stabbing Westward’s intense 90s industrial sound—listen to Wither Blister Burn + Peel now!

These songs reflect the most insecure and doubtful part of me.

Songs that shape inner landscapes; reinventing the folk song.

The album 'Seedlings All' by Josienne Clarke & Ben Walker reflects deep personal insecurities and artistic doubts with humility and melancholy. The blend of folk traditions and orchestral elements highlights their rich musical backgrounds. Notable tracks like 'BathedInLight' showcase a perfect balance of catchiness and songwriting. Their live performances have evoked strong emotions, proving the lasting impact of their music. The album represents an intimate journey that reinvents folk music. Listen to 'Seedlings All' and experience the heartfelt folk journey of Josienne Clarke & Ben Walker.

He begins to book hotel rooms in SanFrancisco. These are his refuges. The hotel room, the acoustic guitar, and nothing else.

From the first track (ThisIsMyTown), this becomes apparent; spontaneity and immediacy in narrating life episodes.

Mark Kozelek's self-titled album showcases his signature torrent of improvisational lyrics and raw acoustic guitar performances. Recorded in San Francisco hotel rooms, the record captures intimate reflections on his life and surroundings. The album continues Kozelek's tradition of candid storytelling and unfiltered emotion. Some listeners might find the lyrics delirious, but Kozelek defends their authenticity. This release also hints at upcoming material under his Sun Kil Moon project. Listen to Mark Kozelek's raw and intimate album to experience his spontaneous, heartfelt storytelling.

In recent interviews, she states her intent to distance herself from stereotypes and even more from gender.

The adventures narrated are primarily sexual in nature, ranging from calls for human warmth to declarations of 'power' (Alpha).

Anna Calvi's 2018 album Hunter explores themes of sexuality and power with a refined mix of pop and rock. The artist challenges gender stereotypes, delivering standout tracks like Chain and Away. The album is noted for its class, creativity, and sensuality, earning acclaim and comparisons to iconic female artists. Listen to Anna Calvi's Hunter to experience a powerful blend of sensuality and rock innovation.

She wants to leave behind her suicidal instincts and her past by changing her name and perspective.

Through the ups and downs of her career, Magda has always put so much, perhaps too much, into her music. The lioness deserves a listen.

Magda Davitt, formerly known as Sinéad O'Connor, returns with 'Milestones,' a deeply emotional and transformative music release. The review highlights her ongoing personal struggles and her desire to shed her past identity. With production by David Holmes, the album explores themes of grief, identity, and renewal through powerful lyrics and dark tones. The critic encourages listeners to give this compelling work a chance. Explore Magda Davitt's powerful new sound and personal journey in 'Milestones'—listen now and experience her musical rebirth.

Blud is, in my opinion, the most representative track of the album; a romantic ballad seasoned with choirs and infused with simplicity.

Specifically, these are modern folk songs, accompanied here and there by orchestral elements or studio effects and beats that do not confuse their naturalness.

SOAK's debut album 'Before We Forgot How to Dream' offers a fresh blend of modern folk and soul reflecting youthful emotions and self-awareness. Bridie Monds-Watson's songwriting explores themes of love and identity with simplicity and depth. The album includes orchestral touches without overwhelming its folk essence. Notably, it earned the Choice Music Award and a Mercury Prize nomination. Tracks like 'Blud' stand out as emotional highlights. Listen to SOAK's heartfelt debut and explore the soulful folk journey of youth and love today.

These tracks are almost reminiscent of their debut; they are pop-rock gems that tell of melancholy and nostalgia.

The themes of abandonment and the eternal battle between old and new, stasis and determination in advancing their own revenges seem to dominate.

The Sundays' second album 'Blind' continues the melancholic and nostalgic pop-rock style that made their debut successful. Despite label challenges, the band self-managed and produced a well-received follow-up. Critics praised their songwriting and musical charisma, drawing influences from 80s bands while maintaining a unique sound. Key themes include abandonment and the conflict between past and future. After extensive touring, the band paused and remains inactive today, with fans hopeful for a return. Listen to The Sundays' 'Blind' and dive into timeless melancholic vibes and brilliant songwriting.
