Despite great reviews and good appreciation from the public, the record company dropped them without any warning.

The dramatic events they had to endure acted as propellant, a vigorous push for a work that I personally consider among the best of the entire nineties.

Mind Funk's second album 'Dropped' emerged from industry rejection to become a strong, passionate work blending metal, funk, and grunge. Produced by Terry Date on a tight budget, it features dark, powerful riffs and emotional vocals. Despite being dropped by Epic Records after their debut, the band’s resilience shines through this underrated 90s album. The reviewer regards it as one of the best works of the decade. Explore Mind Funk's 'Dropped'—a powerful blend of metal and funk that overcame industry rejection. Listen now and discover a hidden 90s classic!

The title track stands out as the best song of the lot: a true Punk - Hardcore slingshot that seems written in 1981, so dynamic and offensive.

Dave and the others want to remind us that they are a legend of the epitaphic melodic Hardcore and fear very few comparisons in this regard.

This review highlights Down by Law's 1993 three-track single Yellow Rat Bastard, emphasizing its blend of melodic hardcore and punk energy. Led by Dave Smalley, a key figure from Dag Nasty, the title track impresses with dynamic and technically skilled performances. The single includes strong original songs and a notable cover of Mission Of Burma. The reviewer appreciates the band's passion and legacy within the hardcore punk scene. Dive into Down by Law's energetic Yellow Rat Bastard and experience a melodic hardcore classic from punk legend Dave Smalley!

"A heavily drugged and hallucinogenic Heavy - Fuzz - Psychedelic sound; Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Kyuss, and especially Monster Magnet are the impressive benchmarks."

"A blistering finale in a constant 'unreasoned' ascent where the guitar is imploded to cut through the air with an acidic sound that annihilates you."

Josiah’s third album 'No Time' is their most focused and successful release, delivering a powerful psychedelic heavy rock experience. Influences from Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Monster Magnet shape its sound. The album features blistering guitar work and a raw, urgent energy. Standout tracks like 'I Can’t Seem to Find it' demonstrate the band’s seismic impact. Overall, the reviewer awards top marks for this intense and captivating record. Listen to Josiah’s 'No Time' now and experience a raw, psychedelic rock journey that will blow your mind!

The album of the year as far as auditory slaughter is concerned.

They want to hurt, and they are an unstoppable machine that sweeps and shatters everything.

Dead Cross's debut album is an intense, violent sonic experience featuring Mike Patton's erratic vocals and Dave Lombardo's machine-gun drumming. Produced by Ross Robinson, the album disregards trends in favor of raw energy. The cover of Bauhaus' "Bela Lugosi's Dead" adds a unique twist. The album is praised for its brutal, unrelenting sound. Dive into the chaotic world of Dead Cross and experience this brutal debut album now!

It is quite simple to predict the sound matter that constitutes an album by the Swedes: a disastrous and scorching auditory hell that moves between Hard - Punk'n'Roll slashes and a distinctly Glam-oriented aftertaste.

The title track, in my opinion, is the most successful song, thanks in particular to an ascending finale where the two chaotic guitars vibrate with sweaty passion for a wild and overwhelming Garage - Roll ride to be delivered to posterity.

Disappointment Blues by The Hellacopters is a fiery mini-album that cements the band's reputation in the Scandinavian hard rock revival. Mixing punk'n'roll and glam influences, the record includes covers of influential bands like Motorhead and Radio Birdman, alongside standout original tracks. Its chaotic yet passionate sound is praised as one of the band's best works. The energetic guitars and wild personality make it a must-listen for fans of raw, explosive rock. Listen to Disappointment Blues and experience The Hellacopters' raw and explosive rock energy today!

Nothing and no one can ever match the infernal and demonic musical approach of Ozzy and his worthy companions.

The scepter for the best interpretation should be awarded to Confessor, who, led by Scott Jeffreys’ crystalline voice, expertly navigate 'Hole In The Sky.'

This review praises the 'Masters Of Misery' tribute album dedicated to Black Sabbath, highlighting its importance and the unique, refined interpretations by various artists. It emphasizes the authenticity and creativity of the contributors, particularly noting standout performances. The reviewer respects the original band's unmatched legacy while appreciating the tribute's fresh takes. Listen to 'Masters Of Misery' and experience fresh, powerful tributes to Black Sabbath's timeless metal legacy.

The album takes us back in time, recalling the masterpiece of suffocating slowness that was 'Forest of Equilibrium' by Cathedral.

Lee’s voice intent on weaving vocal sermons of horrifying beauty.

Lee Dorrian, known for Cathedral and Napalm Death, returns with With the Dead’s debut, a dense and slow doom metal album. Featuring former Electric Wizard members and produced by Rise Above Records, the album channels the spirit of classic doom through six heavy, atmospheric tracks. Highlights include 'Living With The Dead' and 'I Am Your Virus,' showcasing Dorrian’s chilling vocals and oppressive riffs. This release marks a strong continuation of his dark musical legacy. Dive into the dark doom sound of With the Dead and experience Lee Dorrian’s haunting return—listen now and explore the depths of heavy metal.

"I wonder how it’s possible not to jump off the couch and turn up the stereo volume when the very first notes of 'Forest For The Trees' kick in."

"'Boston' is my favorite song of the Sacred Syndicate!!! With that epic leading riff on the six-string, so damn engaging."

This review passionately defends The Dream Syndicate's 1986 album 'Out of the Grey' against negative criticism. Though it admits the album doesn't reach their prior masterpieces' heights, it highlights strong performances, especially Paul B. Cutler's disciplined guitar work and standout tracks like 'Boston.' The reviewer emphasizes the album's energy and musical quality, inviting listeners to appreciate its underrated status. Dive into 'Out of the Grey' and experience a powerful, underrated gem from The Dream Syndicate’s classic era!

‘Of Seismic Consequence’ is their most tense, dark, dramatic album; with that sax, played by Bruce, that throws further gasoline on the fire of a sound tumult of suffocating and raw beauty.

A masterpiece of a song, like the whole album; no bullsh*t!!!

Yakuza's 'Of Seismic Consequence' is their most intense and dramatic album, mixing jazz-core with chaotic grind and powerful saxophone by Bruce Lamont. It balances wild energy with artistic expression, referencing artists like John Zorn and Slayer. The album is praised for its raw beauty and standout tracks like 'Good Riddance (The Knuckle Walkers)'. Compared to earlier works, it’s a bit less frantic but remains a masterpiece of experimental metal. Listen to Yakuza's 'Of Seismic Consequence' and experience the fierce fusion of jazz, hardcore, and grindcore today!

Unfortunately, this is the least successful work of Steve's entire enormous career.

Wynn's sparse and minimalist poetic style, overloaded by a lush and pompous production, suffers greatly from an artificial and superfluous prolixity.

Steve Wynn's 'Dazzling Display' is a rarely misstep in his otherwise solid solo career. Despite ambitious production and a large cast of musicians, the album suffers from overproduction and lacks the raw immediacy of his earlier works. While some tracks show promise, the overall result is weighed down by excessive instrumentation and artificial sounds. The review concludes with a cautious three-star rating out of love for Wynn's legacy. Discover the highs and lows of Steve Wynn's Dazzling Display—listen to the album and decide for yourself!
