This will be the last album with Paul Barker and with it concludes the 'Industrial Metal sound à la Ministry,' moving towards faster and Thrash sounds.

An album undoubtedly deserving of reevaluation.

Ministry's 2003 album 'Animositisomina' marked an important moment during a turbulent period for the band. Despite internal conflicts and challenges, the album preserves their industrial metal essence. It was the last record featuring Paul Barker and hinted at a stylistic shift towards faster thrash sounds. The album offers ferocity, despair, and hypnotic moments, deserving a fresh critical reappraisal. Listen to Ministry's 'Animositisomina' to discover a raw industrial metal chapter worth revisiting and appreciating.

An exclusive cocktail of Mathcore, Thrashcore, classic Hardcore Punk, Noise Rock accompanied by excellent doses of feedback and various noises making everything more excruciating, non-psychedelic, and epileptic.

The dirtiest and most extraordinary work is done by Gabe Serbian behind the skins, showcasing robotic fills accompanied by blast beats that sound like gunfire from a motor that operates in bursts.

Head Wound City's self-titled 2005 EP showcases a powerhouse supergroup combining members of Blood Brothers, The Locust, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The music is a short but explosive blend of Mathcore, Thrashcore, Hardcore Punk, and Noise Rock. Energetic rhythms, intricate drumming by Gabe Serbian, and intense vocal rages define this intense release. The EP remains a rare gem between their formation and their 2016 full-length album. Dive into the chaotic energy of Head Wound City's EP and experience one of the wildest blends of hardcore punk and mathcore ever recorded!

Swing Kids are Pearson’s first real project to receive moderate notoriety, despite belonging to a predominantly small scene, which is Experimental Hardcore.

This is not simple Hardcore Punk but rather, a rough and chaotic blend of the latter, Screamo, Noise Rock, Math Rock, Post-Punk with moments of Free Jazz.

Swing Kids' self-titled 1994 EP showcases a raw, chaotic mix of Experimental Hardcore, blending hardcore punk with screamo, noise rock, and free jazz. Founded by Justin Pearson, this 10-minute EP remains influential in underground scenes, inspiring bands like Orchid and Refused. The review highlights the youthful energy and innovative style that marked the band's brief but impactful existence. Dive into Swing Kids' groundbreaking EP and discover the roots of modern experimental hardcore—listen now and explore their explosive sound!

It is precisely the unreleased track "Impact" with its bass line that clears the path for the remaining 10.

Shouting about brotherhood, unity, respect, living life with positivity, precisely, breaking the bridges that often divide us as simple human beings.

Chain of Strength's 'The One Thing That Still Holds True' is a seminal hardcore punk album representing the optimistic Youth Crew subculture. Despite the band's short lifespan, their influence is significant. The album delivers raw energy through melodic riffs, powerful drums, and straightforward lyrics about unity and positivity. Key tracks like 'Impact,' 'Too Deep Until Now,' and 'True Till Death' showcase their signature sound. This album remains a beloved classic within the genre. Dive into the energy of Chain of Strength's hardcore classic and experience the spirit of Youth Crew punk today!

"This should be played at high volume (preferably in a residential area)."

The funny thing is that this term actually originated as a joke, and In/Humanity were quite knowledgeable in pranks, self-irony, provocation, and satire.

This review highlights In/Humanity’s compilation album, celebrating its 42-track breadth and the band’s unique mix of hardcore punk and satirical Emoviolence. The album features energetic short bursts alongside longer, more experimental tracks, enriched by intriguing audio samples from figures like Charles Manson and Aleister Crowley. The band’s self-ironic and provocative spirit sets them apart within the genre. An intense and entertaining listen, although demanding as a continuous experience. Dive into the chaotic energy of In/Humanity’s Emoviolence legacy—listen to Violent Resignation now and experience hardcore punk like never before!

These travelers of the unknown (and even of time) showed the flair and genius to create a perfect blend of Black Metal, Doom Metal, and traditional Orthodox chants; the result that emerges is breathtaking.

Imagine finding yourself in an abandoned Orthodox cathedral, almost falling apart, surrounded by flickering candles and overwhelmed by the majesty of icons.

Batushka's debut album Litourgiya presents an unprecedented blend of black metal, doom metal, and traditional Orthodox chants. The music evokes the haunting atmosphere of an abandoned cathedral surrounded by flickering candles and ancient icons. Each track corresponds thematically to liturgical litanies, creating a unique, immersive experience. The band remains mysterious, adding to the album's enigmatic aura. This album is a groundbreaking work praised for its originality and depth. Dive into Batushka's Litourgiya and experience a haunting fusion of metal and sacred chant today!

The music of a tormented soul.

 100% spot on.

'Orchid - Gatefold' marks the peak of the band's intense 5-year journey, delivering a raw, visceral emoviolence sound. The album expands on previous work with longer, painful instrumental tracks and chaotic vocals, capturing a tormented soul. Its emotional depth and musical maturity draw parallels to black metal's misanthropy. Truly a moving and abrasive masterpiece. Dive into Orchid's 'Gatefold' for a powerful emoviolence and screamo experience unlike any other.

Personally, I consider it a 'must-have', highly recommended to vintage Hardcore Punk and Grindcore fans.

 PLAY FAST OR DIE.

"The Dandy Warhols are actually much more than that single."

"This beautiful flashback to 2000 closes with one of my favorite tracks, namely 'The Gospel.' Wow, it was worth it."

This live album captures The Dandy Warhols performing their landmark album 'Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia' in full. The review praises their psychedelic and alternative rock blend, highlighting atmospheric slow tracks and energized moments. While vocals stumble slightly on 'Bohemian Like You,' the overall performance is satisfying and nostalgic. The album is highly recommended for fans interested in revisiting or discovering this classic work live. Dive into The Dandy Warhols' iconic live album and experience the psychedelic and alternative rock journey of 'Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia'!

"'Infinite Sun'... showcasing relaxing, captivating, fresh, and trippy melodies in the right amount."

"'K 2.0' presents itself as an album with two faces: one of Psychedelic Rock 'à la Kula Shaker' and another of Acoustic Rock, almost Country, which predominates for 70%."

Kula Shaker's 2016 album 'K 2.0' marks their return after six years with a mix of psychedelic rock and acoustic country sounds. The lead single 'Infinite Sun' stands out as a strong raga rock track, but much of the album falls into less memorable acoustic territory. While some psychedelic tracks provide interest, the overall album feels inconsistent and somewhat underwhelming compared to their debut. Explore Kula Shaker’s ‘K 2.0’ and decide if the psychedelic journey resonates with you!
