"the last show", the site also has some interesting little things, especially for belgophiles like us. Who knows how many months it will take until they put Tom and Mauro? :( It's strange how Tom is pulling out the most "overlooked" songs from the album: last week I saw a clip, again from some Belgian or Dutch TV, where he was performing cold sun of circumstance.

First of all, thank you all. Secondly: lucabbrasi, perhaps my words lend themselves (involuntarily) to being misinterpreted. However, you forget that the 80s were not just Spandau Ballet, Kajagoogoo, Duran Duran. Let's say that The The can relate more closely to other artists, like Midnight Oil, Talk Talk, a certain Bowie or a certain Peter Gabriel in their eighties phase, and also Julian Cope (thank you, Frantz). The music wasn't all the same, but you can't tell me that the sounds of "Infected" are not offspring of those years. This album, with these sounds, could belong to no other historical moment. And for those who have biases against 80s music, the samples are there for that reason. To confirm or dispel them. A taste. Each to their own standard of judgment.
