Yeahhhh!! Boom boom!! Cool is back motherfuckers!!!

Do you remember Tiziano Ferro's crybaby tears? Do you remember Eminem rapping with a bunch of kids behind him? Do you remember the huge concert in Rome in front of the Colosseum? Do you remember my review? Do you remember Josephine and her Linkin Pork? Do you remember it or not?! Oh well, it doesn't matter... It was just to say that a year has already passed!!! I'm on pins and needles, damn, no joke, this is an extremely important and awesome event... All my favorite singers are here!! Every single one!! Woooow I'm getting excited yeah!! I mean, can you believe it? The best of the best!!

And this year again, I'll be the one describing this twelfth edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards, which move from dear Rome to Lisbon: the first thing that catches my eye is once again the stage, which for three consecutive editions has been set up in that damn way, in the middle of the audience, really a big mess in my opinion, but they keep using the same structure? Damn, a little imagination! Oh well, but in the end, these are trivial details, the important thing is the music (and what music, guys!!): the dominators of the evening were, deservedly, the Green Day who took home 2 awards, including the very prestigious "Best Album" (no kidding guys, "American Idiot" is an album with balls!), best rapper of the year is Snoop Dogg, best pop group the Black Eyed Peas (well-deserved, Fergie is a hottie), best newcomer James Blunt (a malicious and evil man!), best female goes to Shakira (a real babe, like all the nominees, except Missy Elliott), best male Robbie Williams (well-deserved because I like him), best group Gorillaz, and to the joy of the metalheads, the "Best Alternative" goes to System Of A Down. Best song of the year is "Speed Of Sound" by the seminal Coldplay, deserved also because a friend of mine has it as a ringtone. The highly anticipated "Best Italian Act" goes to Negramaro (but there was a tough choice between Renga, Giorgia, Pausini, and Negrita). A small note regarding the nominations: why were Franz Ferdinand placed in the "Best Rock" section? They are death-metal, ignorant people!!!! Hosting this extraordinary event was the Kazakh (yes yes, with double z) Borath, one of Ali G's characters, in short, a great one!!!! Anyone who doesn't know who Ali G is better do some serious soul-searching please... The ending was amazing, where he has himself hung by his underwear above the audience! Hilarious! Bob Geldof received the "Free Your Mind Award" for this year's Live 8, too bad for the long-winded speech he gave us after the award... Among the live performances, I note Madonna's, who kicked off the dances with her new single, complete with exposed thighs (and damn, she'll be the age she is, but she's still a fine piece), then Coldplay's, with a Chris Martin who seemed high on coke (he took some girl's phone, called a number, and kept singing like nothing happened), I didn't like Gorillaz's performance at all, though the idea of holograms wasn't bad. I didn't mind Shakira's live performance at all (she's a hot chick, can't deny it), and finally, to wrap up the show, the extremely violent and wicked System Of A Down took care of that (but they could have played on Domenica In while they were at it).

In short, I wasn't disappointed again this year!!!! I saw all my favorite bands and I'm happy!!! Until next time!

Long live the ladies!!
