And the rock became post. And the rest is feedback.

Chilling. Chilling right from the start, just like on the record, with "Auto-Rock". Chills contrasting with the infernal heat in this godforsaken venue, which I hope to forget soon myself. These Scottish sprites seem to be in good shape. They move little, focus on their instruments, and scrutinize the overheated crowd in front of them.

They skip the early tracks, referencing "Rock Action" ("2 Rights Make 1 Wrong", "You Don't Know Jesus"), "Happy Songs for Happy People" ("Hunted By A Freak" and "Killing All The Flies"), "Mogwai EP+2" ("Stanley Kubrick") and "Ten Rapid" ("Ithica 27-9" and "Helicon 2"), but tonight the absolute protagonist is that Mr. Beast who has kept many company lately. The crescendo of "Auto-Rock" perhaps foreshadowed the concert's course, fluctuating, between soft and lulling melodies and the sonic wall of three guitars, which rises suddenly and falls victim to terrible acoustics that rendered the sounds completely saturated.

"Glasgow Mega Snake" grows, distorts to madness, and destroys everything, including my right eardrum. A moment to breathe, for us and for them, and then onwards to the grand finale, first with the slow and tormented pace of "You Don't Know Jesus", then with the closing track of "Mr. Beast", "We're No Here", almost to signal that the journey is complete, folks, the show ends here.

The last notes continue to resonate for a long time, even after the sprites have left the stage. After all, it's past midnight and these tender Scots have now transformed into Gremlins, and let the feedback assault our ears.
