What kind of review is this? Mine may sometimes be too long, but this... is almost offensive. As for Silvestri, I don’t know what to say; his music still hasn’t taken a clear direction, it oscillates between silly little songs like Salirò and more socially engaged pieces. I don't know this album.

For antoniodeste: my comment was ironic, but yes, you are absolutely right. Long reviews tend to scatter the attention of the average reader who may not know or be particularly interested in the album. The fact is that this review, in my opinion, goes too far in the opposite direction: how can a reader who knows the album be satisfied with such a brief commentary? Of course, these are personal evaluations; I mean, I speak based on my taste and my concept of a review, while someone else might think along different parameters.

No one talks about 40 lines.
Jordan Rudess Rhythm Of Time
Voto:
Bah, I’m a big fan of the Theater, but solo projects always smell a bit like self-congratulation to me. I listened to "The Six Wives of Henry" by Wakeman and while I was blown away by the keyboardist's greatness (never heard anything like it), I didn’t find it very warm, if you know what I mean. Rudess is undoubtedly great, but on a purely compositional level, he might not hold up against Moore, so I’m not sure what to expect from this album... I hope I won’t just find torrential solos and technique in spades (even though I do enjoy both). Great suggestion, though. The review is very well written.

I don't agree; you can't dismiss a historic album like this, even if it doesn't say much to me, with just 10 lines. The ability to be concise is certainly a gift... but so is being exhaustive. Also, since it's a hobby, it's natural for someone to elaborate a bit when talking about an album they liked; otherwise, where's the pleasure in writing reviews on a site like this?
John Lee Hooker Chill Out
Voto:
So, Hooker's discography is impressive; I don't know if you've googled a bit... anyway, for the traditional pieces, I recommend "The Complete Chess for Blues," which offers you a fairly comprehensive view of Uncino's music. Then there are more recent albums that feature music a bit closer to the times, and among these, I strongly recommend "Free Beer and Chicken" from '74 with Joe Cocker, "The Healer" from '89 with Santana and others, but especially "Don't Look Back" in 1997 with the legendary Van Morrison, and the latest "The Best of Friends" where he duets with various musicians like Santana, Clapton, Ry Cooder, Jimmy Vaughan, and others whose names I can't remember right now. The album I reviewed falls into the category of the more recent albums and, as you've read in the review, it truly deserves to be listened to.

KIKI my era irony, it was enough to look at the comment made above to understand it..
