One of those albums that reconcile you with music. I haven't listened to it in ages. Beautiful from start to finish, especially Cross-Eyed Mary and Wond'ring Aloud. Rich arrangements, but never redundant. Ian Anderson was a poet. An exciting album. I will savor it again as soon as possible...

Zucchero The Best of Zucchero Sugar Fornaciari's - Greatest Hits
Voto:
Before the current (and inevitable) disgrace, I actually found Zukkero likable... Yes, okay, he was a plagiarist, he must have received hundreds of complaints from American bluesmen and soul singers, he has never played a note or sung a vocalization of his own from his guitar and voice, not to mention the abject practice of counterpointing the Italian lyrics with stereotypical English choruses... But that said, he definitely falls into the category of 80s Italian rockers, whom we are forced to miss today, given the garbage that infests the radio these days... A bit like Vasco... Perhaps Zukkero would have been greater (and more honest) if he had proposed himself at the helm of a cover band for classic blues, but in this way, as Patty says, who knows, he probably wouldn't have been able to express his Emilian roots... Let's overlook the really vulgar lyrics of some of his latest songs... Baila Morena, with that depressing finale from Bagaglino (...and DAILA! DAILA Morena...), would make Gerry Cala' seem like a witty person... Better when he screams: "Scuuuuuuuusaaaaaaaaaa, but I don't care a seeeeeeeeeeeeegaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!" :-DDD
Joni Mitchell Blue

I especially appreciate the first part of this album. Mitchell had a very modulated voice, comparable (on the male front) to the great vocalists like Tim Buckley and Van Morrison: even Mitchell's songs were "streams of consciousness." As for the arrangements, we are in the territory of Nick Drake's Pink Moon: acoustic guitar (or piano), complex scores, but minimal sound, stripped down to the bone, so as to let the voice take the leading and guiding role. The review is very nice (to be honest, the Christmas atmosphere has never bothered me; what I cannot stand, as a good thrifty person from Brianza, are gifts!!!) :-D
Cows Taint Pluribus Taint Unum

@ Cus: damn, the Cows covered by Unsane must be a guaranteed "headache," or rather: MIND-BLOWING, as Homer would say... @ Regular: thank you and same to you! @ Punisher: if we were talking about Cows in the chat, I would have posted a review like yours for this album. :-D Anyway, thanks to everyone for the cascade of 5... I apologize for the cover; it really can't be found anywhere, damn it!

Oh yes, dear "cus cus clan," I believe it's worth revisiting these moments, even from the recent past, because often, when it comes to music (and not only), we tend to have a short memory... Thank you as well for the compliments on the review! :-)
Hawkwind In Search Of Space
Voto:
Wanderer, there’s more than just a Floydian aroma (specifically Barrettian)… After all, Hawkwind in their best moments have been able to perform genuine "interstellar overdrive," so you see that the numbers add up :-) The guitars, however, are harder, more powerful than classic psychedelia, closer to hard rock, only to sometimes liquefy in the global sonic maelstrom, creating a perfect alchemy with the other instruments (synth, flute, sax).

I've never felt...the review intrigues me, both the technical part (Josi) and the poetic one (Trelly). A great job!
