Jesus Lizard Lash - Ep
Voto:
Well... Bresson was anything but neorealist... And the Lizard were simply amazing musicians... yes, even Yow: try to sing like him without getting out of tune: it’s impossible... Even more difficult is singing Thomas... Try to do Not Alignment Pact without being "gifted" with the talent of Ubu Roi: it will come out a mess... Anyway, I agree with Sanjuro's anti-academic invective, keeping in mind that great Artists are neither academics nor incompetents, but rather those who (like the Lizard and Ubu) have dismantled the old stylistic conventions to create new ones.

the issues of the troubled, disadvantaged teenager... stuff that was dear to the '90s <<< '80... in the '90s they kind of exploited it (not everyone, some were still serious about it)...

Take my bad motor scooter and ride........and Ronnie is shredding with his six-string.........Far more likable and genuine than the Van Halen offspring (I can't stand them! grrrr)

Great Mary Hellen! What do you think of the first Echo, the ones that are more guitar-driven, more "Television"?

I think that maybe I'm dreaming...This album contains some of the most evocative arpeggios in the history of folk-rock...It's dated, but influential at the same time...A summer album, to be listened to lying in the sun at 3 in the afternoon...I also prefer to listen to the contemporary Again by Buffalo more (more eclectic and surprising)...Perfect review.
Brian Eno Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)

Yes, but the fact remains that very few people pay attention to this album... unfortunately.

Straight question, Bart: better "Head Over Heels" or "Treasure"?

A very personal review, with character... I don't agree with certain judgments anyway... For me: Rock You/Champions, two classics from the "arena"; Sheer, violent pogo (even though we're not at the levels of Stone Cold Crazy); Spread your wings, Deacon's masterpiece; Get Down, a decent electronic experiment, but still with a rock 'n' roll soul; Sleeping, Fight and Who needs, three successful incursions into blues, funk, and Latin; Melancholy, beautiful!!!!!! It's late, a bit pompous, but still a nice hard rock; All Dead is worth it for the interlude where May recreates the sound of a string quartet with his guitar, poetic!
