Fabrizio De André De André In Concerto
Voto:
I understand what you mean, but often it's not just the lyrics and the music that make a singer famous; there's also the voice. (Leonard Cohen, too, is more famous for his lyrics than for his music, yet in Italy, he is very well known—there must be a reason, not just because he sings in English, which is a widespread language, but also because of his distinctive voice). Fabrizio had a beautiful voice that matched perfectly with the lyrics and the music. As for the fact that he’s not known by everyone abroad, I completely agree.

The second and third volumes, however, were published years later.

Surely there are much more complete collections than this one (which is divided into two volumes, other songs can be found in the second volume), but in my opinion, for those who are not familiar with it, this may be sufficient. Regarding the review, I apologize, but I was in a hurry, and that sentence had me suspicious from the start; even while I was writing it, I had my doubts.

I admit, that sentence came out a bit poorly; perhaps I should have said: "I think John Denver is a character that doesn't have a common OPINION from people." (Not that it was wrong to say "opinion," but maybe it fit better).
Edoardo Bennato Uffà! Uffà!
Voto:
Jimi, Jim, Bob & Kurt don't really have much to do with Bennato, but that's my thesis.

Many factors contributed to some individuals entering the rock legend, particularly the premature death (Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Bob Marley, Kurt Cobain, and here in Italy Rino Gaetano), especially if the end is quite strange. Edoardo Bennato, who I consider a great rock singer-songwriter, is unfortunately becoming a bit too commercialized, or it would be better to say declining (the collaboration with Britti is solid proof of this). So a doubt arises, or rather a question: What would have happened if Bennato had died young, after making "Sono solo canzonette" and this album? He would probably be remembered as a great figure in Italian music (even though I still appreciate him now), somewhat like Rino Gaetano.

"I have never seen a man speak like that."
Renato Zero Cattura
Voto:
Yes, but the figures don't count for anything at all.
Francesco Guccini e i Nomadi Album Concerto
Voto:
In my opinion, the best version of "Primavera di Praga" can be found in the live "Ma che film la vita," accompanied only by the guitar (as it has always been), a very piercing guitar, though, that is cut through by Daolio's equally sharp voice.

Too bad, "Before Being a Man" was a nice album.
