It's been nine years since the singer's death, and it seems like he's already been forgotten. I think John Denver is a figure who doesn't have a common opinion among people: there are those who love him and those who hate him, those who like him and those who simply can't stand him. I got to know him later; I happened to be rummaging through some records and found this CD: "John Denver Greatest Hits". Initially, it didn't mean much to me, but after listening to it in detail, I truly appreciated it. Only then was I able to grasp the emotions it produced and nurture them, and I understood how truly difficult it is to astonish with the voice, accompanied only by the guitar and a few other instruments.
