Rick Wakeman The Six Wifes Of Henry VIII
Voto:
There is no doubt that Wakeman is one of the best keyboardists ever, but my heart has already been captured by Emerson... This rec made me want to listen to this album, which seems very interesting! So far, I've only listened to "Close To The Edge" by Yes (which is beautiful...), and it seems to me that Rick doesn't have much space on this Yes album... Am I wrong?

Rec good, I haven’t listened to the album.... :( "Wild Horses," on the other hand, I’ve listened to and it’s beautiful, and it’s worth listening to the rest of this album too... Anyway, my ranking of the Stones' albums is: 1) Between The Buttons 2) Their Satanic Majesties Request 3) Out Of Our Heads 4) Beggars Banquet 5) Let It Bleed

Nice gig. I haven't listened to the album, but I know enough about Area to say they were a great band. But did Demetrio die of leukemia?
David Gilmour On a Island

It's the sixth review on this album (which I still haven't managed to listen to...) and it's the best! Here it’s clear that the reviewer loves the Floyd and Dave, and the nice thing is that he manages to point out (while being a fan) the flaws of the album and the artist. Gilmour, unlike Waters, has been able to gift clearer melodies over the course of his time with Pink Floyd... an example is "The Wall," where for me the parts sung by Dave touch me more than those by Roger. So I really have to listen to this album, keeping in mind what this review says... that I might end up disappointed.

Lewis, you and I need to set up a company that deals with the 60s and 70s groups...! :) Great as always...! But this rec seems less inspired than the others...
Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso Buone Notizie
Voto:
The Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso of the '80s is worse than Le Orme and PFM (clearly also from that period...), starting from the fact that they named themselves Banco (I believe to market themselves even more...) I honestly have never listened to BMS from the '80s carefully, and I'm not very interested either; I just needed "Moby Dick," which isn't bad, but is very far from the standards of Prog like "BMS (Salvadanaio)" - "Darwin" and "Io Sono Nato Libero"... A very good record!
The Doors Five To One - Single
Voto:
I would praise this kid's rap, purely for the fact that at 15 he listens to the Doors and not, like his peers, Green Day or Max Pezzali... Then Jim, if for you the basic idea is good, that should be enough to make you think that a 15-year-old came up with this basic idea, regardless of the title mistakes... a 3 for encouragement dear Kobra, and keep listening to good music!

Great as always, Lewis! I still need to explore the birds properly... Lewis, I take this opportunity to ask if you heard about Syd Barrett's death (I think a great music lover from the '60s and '70s like you already knows, and like me, the moment you learned the sad news, you felt an instant shiver throughout your body...)

The Who are immense and this rec is immense!
