The record is not an absolute masterpiece, but lovers of prog, Italian and otherwise, appreciate it. I do too... Recently I met Gianni Leone after the Procol Harum concert in Rome; we talked about various things: how everyone tells him he is the best Italian keyboardist (he’s definitely on the podium, at least in my opinion); how he was all excited because he had found the original vinyl of Hot Rats a few days before; how he thinks that Emerson and the guy from Quatermass are the best keyboardists of all time; etcetera etcetera... He told me that the Balletto will be in concert in March at Stazione Birra in Rome, with the new lineup (there must have been at least eight changes over the years, with him always being the constant)... Anyway, he’s a really nice person; if you happen to see him live, he’s truly great (I saw him open for a Porcupine Tree concert a few years ago).

For me, the best album of all the previous ones, except for the first 3 Gabriel records... A fascinating and magnetic character (including his live shows - have you seen the one in Milan for this album's tour? fantastic), over the years he has never been pigeonholed, always doing what he felt, always pulling out fresh and interesting ideas... I personally prefer Gabriel's Genesis period, but an artist like this is always to be appreciated. @Mariaelena: your reviews are always beautiful: but how do you manage to reread yourself? ;)

Fragile is a treasure chest of pearls, it is known... however, the masterpiece remains close to the edge, in my opinion.

Did you know that "Flying" is the most beautiful song of all time for Robert Wyatt?.......oh yes.....for me the album deserves a four, but just for those 4-5 tracks I have to give it a five.....

well done indeed. For me, the crimson ones are from the 70s, more disciplined, but this one is totally valid too ;) cheers
