Killing Joke Laugh? I Nearly Bought One!
Voto:
Great review, Baffo; for Killing Joke, a 5 is given by default, it's obvious.

Oh yes.
Julee Cruise Floating Into The Night
Voto:
Great review for an album I don't have but I believe I've heard almost everything by Julee... everything related to Twin Peaks is made of dreamlike matter, allowing you to cross doors to other worlds.

Look senior, this will be the millionth time I write it: selling a million copies is NOT a sin, BUT it must be art, not a joke. Some examples? Sonic Youth, Led Zeppelin, Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie, Queen (even with some missteps).
Would you come to tell me that the music of Ramazzotti, Ligabue, Vasco Rossi is art? Isn’t it all crafted by record labels? Doesn’t it have the sole purpose of selling? Isn’t it the exhausting and obsessive repetition of the same formula, which was already bad from the start?
If you can convince me of this, I will immediately take back everything I’ve said.
I’m sorry to contradict you but what you call the arrogance of the debaseriani isn’t arrogance at all; it's simply love for music, because there are many people who, despite everything, still believe in it today and consider it one of humanity's greatest forms of expression - and they feel disgust and disdain towards all those who use it to deceive and make billions at the expense of those who might be true musicians and work their asses off to express and showcase their talent. If you think you have an open mind, reflect on these words I’ve just written, and let me know... as for the rest, keep writing reviews; even if I completely disagree, you know how to write well, and comments are just a way to improve - something everyone should do (this site exists for us to enrich each other, after all).

It’s thanks to idiots like you that a great site loses credibility... don’t you have anything better to do than to tarnish reviews????

I'm afraid that the mind should be opened by those who listen to Eros, senior... people like this don't deserve anything more than a "it sucks," of the same caliber as the musical proposal they peddle in the same unbearable, worn-out Italian salsa. Take a stroll through the archives of ondarock and you'll see that music is something else entirely, well distinct from taking the piss out of gullible listeners and filling their pockets with millions of euros, at their expense. The album is nothing short of pathetic, and the cover deserves the spreading of a nice veil of pity.
Nine Inch Nails The Downward Spiral [Deluxe Edition] Disc 2
Voto:
Terrible and childish review for a truly interesting work. This reissue of The Downward Spiral is a must for anyone who loves the art of sound manipulation. The transition from the demos to the ultimate versions is incredible...
Franz Ferdinand You Could Have It So Much Better
Voto:
Donjunio, just to change things up, we find ourselves on the same identical wavelength... the musical proposal of the Ferdinand and the Arctic Monkeys disguised as art is quite chilling, but after all, these days they practically have no competitors. I don't know if it's just my feeling, but it is REALLY difficult to find something interesting and artistically valid in recent months; it seems more than ever... do you think it's a dry spell or have the new generations burned themselves out from a young age watching too much TV?
Erik Satie - Alessandra Celletti (piano) Esoterik Satie
Voto:
Satie is truly a fascinating character... I have a collection of piano works, "Satie: Piano works," interpreted by Mauro Masala, and I must say, it intrigued me a lot. And not just the magnificent and well-known gymnopédies... the short compositions are fantastic.
Tori Amos Under the Pink
Voto:
Welcome soulkitchen... and thank you for the comment. Tori is always a surprise to my ears and to my heart. Only she, Elizabeth Fraser, and Sinead O'Connor can reach deep into my soul, just with a word...
