Great discussion! I somewhat agree with djd, as I saw them before they became a bit too trapped in their poses and the British press, which discovered them much later than the rest of Europe and mainly pumped them up for their look. They fell into it quite nicely, but that’s their fault. However, Barely Legal and Veni Vidi Vicious are great albums...nothing original, of course, but I don’t think they’re looking for that, since they sometimes seem like a tribute band. Anyway, they rocked at Pedro four years ago, and I had a blast; they were nice too (the singer was about 20 at the time, practically a baby-faced kid). I won’t talk about the Libertines because Giov is bound to get mad... I’ll just say that the fact they’re playing on the 4th in Bologna, where I will be, makes me want to stay home... the early (I)NC were remarkable, but they also seem to be a bit of a caricature of themselves and not very credible when they throw out slogans like "Capitalism Stole My Virginity" and similar... even though the idea is nice and it made me smile back then... I won’t judge the album in question because I knew it would be anonymous... so I’ll spare myself the listening for now. Bye!

I just put a sample on the record.....but it's not a piece by the Rolling Stones, it's from an unknown garage band contemporary to ours....listen to the initial riff and then check out "Last Time" from this record.....who took it from whom? It's a tired and worn subject these days, but it still feels strange to me sometimes....enjoy the listening.

I share the idiosyncrasy towards French singing... a language that I speak a little but that gives me chills down my spine with every attempt at the rolled 'r'... I picture horses on the steppe and hordes of bloodthirsty Mongols laying waste to Europe. The rec is really nice. Bye.

Does your nickname come from the anime of the same name? Just a curiosity...

You are a great Antimo! I agree with the comparison; the one before I had and I gifted it since it didn't last long in my player. They're not bad but absolutely not worth buying. Bye!

I feel this rec a lot, I might listen to the album maybe between one swim at the sea and another. Bye

Now we just need the first one... who will review it? Nice zigghio/Vic, although I’m still with the funhouse party.

DAMN WHAT A BULLSHIT I WROTE!!! I apologize to the anonymous, who should still sign their name since the criticism is valid. Of course, due to my mental issues, I wrote Cope instead of Robin Hitchcock, and I’m sorry for that. Just yesterday, I was rereading the booklet and saw Hitchcock’s face and berated myself for half an hour... sorry Stefano for this pointless discussion about your rec. Bye

Alright Daniele, I didn’t want to, but I ended up writing an intervention that’s a bit poorly written. I repeat that I don’t want to teach anyone anything, especially since I know little about this stuff. But damn, how easily you all get offended! Bye

What a drag, why don't you sign your names if you're going to criticize? I don't know, from what I know about soft boys (underwater moonlight), the references to Jefferson or rather to the West Coast sound of the 60s are mentioned by Cope himself in the booklet... so I'm not just making things up. The point, however, is not this; in the end, references or not, what I was offering was a clarification and not a serious critique... everyone sees it how they want, right? To the anonymous one: from the end of your comment, I notice you suffer from inferiority complexes. Do I seem like someone trying to act smart? I don't think so; I at least try to spark some discussions, and if you don't like it, do whatever you want.
