I discovered this group, or rather this duo, through various discos and clubs that are increasingly filling my evenings and afternoons. In such an environment, if you have a keen musical eye, you cannot help but discover Fischerspooner.
Some of you may already know them, but for those wondering who the hell these guys are, here’s the answer to your questions: Fischerspooner is made up of Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner (the group's name is a fusion of their surnames), and they are accompanied in their performances by a dense following of dancers, choreographers, and makeup artists. The band's live performances are truly a spectacle, as they accompany their sound with very unique dances and provocations.
The story of this album begins in 1998, when their label (International Deejay Gigolo Records) finally releases "Best album ever," the first single being "Emerge," which achieves international success; but the definitive album will only be released in 2002 by the English label Ministry Of Sound, and the name given to it will be "#1".
After this biographical interlude, which is as necessary as ever, let's move on to the album, the music, finally.
The album is as tight as few others and consists of 11 tracks, eleven potential singles with only a few exceptions; you pleasantly travel from calm songs like "Tone Poem" to the pure energy conveyed by the single "Emerge," passing through the splendid "the 15th" and concluding with the psychedelic "ersatz".
If they were to be categorized into a genre, one would immediately say electronic, although they define themselves as a pop band. They claim they want to make pop as it should be, but as we all know, it isn’t. Certainly, it's a challenging goal to achieve, but the strength of this duo, besides their live performances, lies precisely in the exceptional mix of pop and electronic.
They are much more than just a duo; they are the ones who initiated a trend, the electronic one, which is now very "widespread" (to be polite) in clubs but whose right sound is difficult to capture. They have succeeded.
Recommended for nightclub lovers, for connoisseurs; a suggestion for those who are still not familiar with them ;-)

02 The 15th (03:54)
Reviewed, it seemed
As if someone were watching over it
Before it was
As if response were based on fact
Providing, deciding, it was soon there
Squared to it, faced to it, it was not there
Renewed, it fought
As if it had a cause to live for
Denied, it learned
As if it had sooner been destroyed
Providing, deciding, it was soon there
Squared to it, faced to it, it was not there
It was not there
It was not there
It was..
Reviewed, it fought
As if someone were watching over it
Before it had sooner been denied
Renewed, it seemed
As if it had a cause to live for
Destroyed, it was later based on /fact/ [original, "find" used?]
Providing, deciding, it was soon there
Squared to it, faced to it, it was not there
Providing, deciding, it was soon there
Squared to it, faced to it, it was not there
Was not there
Was not there
Was not there
Was not there

06 Tone Poem (04:13)
In the sanctuary
Of private rhetoricy
When a bustling crowd intrudes
Where rival ship meets no incentive
To impale its reckless course
[1–2–3–4]
Where all is lulled
To peace and quiet
Is of all places
The most appropriate
To illuminate
The sparkling fires of love
And receive in turn the electro-darts
Of sweet devotion.
Doo doo dee dah dee doo doo
Sparkling fires
Electro-darts
08 Horizon (05:07)
Rise...
There's nothing
Nothing
Soulrider
Soulrider

Something, something, something far away
Something, something, something far away
(Exhibition, Exhibitionist, Executionist)
Nothing overtakes me
09 Natural Disaster (04:43)
Oh, oh, oh...
All alone...
'gone out
So many nights
Nobody's there
Lost and wasted
Why am I alone?
Who made me this way?
(Natural Disaster)
All alone, alone
Why am I alone?
I feel so alone
Natural disaster (disaster)
Natural disaster (disaster)
Oh, this night mistrust (heartless rust)
Who made me this way?
Blinding, spinning, shining, bright and burning, ruined, dead, hurting
Blinding, spinning, shining, bright and burning, ruined, dead, hurting
Light is blinding, spinning and shining, bright and burning, ruined and hurting, colours are flashing, in the dark smoke, mirrors the face is hoping, I can re - member why I, came here before, I don't know how I, feel like I don't know, I feel like I don't know, how will I feel like, I don't know how I, feel like I don't know, how will I feel, I, how will I feel, I.
(All alone, all alone, all alone)
