Arguing with sanjuro? What fun would that be? He's just a poor fool who, in every other post, mentions me and that poor guy Caz, solely because of a heated discussion we had in his Nirvana review about the objective/subjective value of music. The young guy lacks depth; he doesn't stimulate thought because he's devoid of any sense of humor, musical culture, or advanced technique. Can I send you a bouquet of flowers?

Great review Roby, you've perfectly captured the value of this album, the sound that comes from it, and the inevitable comparison with the shadow of the giant Morrison. All in all, a good album but very much in style, the credit I give to the band is that they haven’t slavishly followed the Doors' style. You've made me want to listen to it again even though... I only own the vinyl and not the turntable :(

@psychopompe: you made the same observation as I did. Aeneas then cleared up my doubt in private, explaining that the original album cover (the one from 1973) is indeed yellow, while the remastered version is a light beige-ochre. What you see in the review, not being a scan, represents the original cover and not the cover of the record in question, which is absent from the internet.

On Saturday I finally picked up this remastering from my trusted little shop. The quality of the first disc is definitely superior to that of the original; the impact is impressive: cool. The second disc is truly a gem: terrifying Krautrock, "Jennifer is chilling" :D and The Sad Skinhead is mind-blowing. Also cool.
