Jake E. Lee A Fine Pink Mist
Voto:
I listened to this CD after Retraced. I was intrigued by its catchy blues style. Honestly, I appreciate this work more than a blues cover album. Totally outside the conventional, "A Fine Pink Mist" is, in my opinion, a worthy instrumental guitar work. Looking at Jake's website, it's quite striking to see that besides two solo albums, two with Ozzy, and two from Badlands, the rest is just collaborations and especially tributes...

Well, you’re excluding “After Dark” just like that?? The album is nice, but not 5 stars. Great review anyway.
Scorpions Blackout
Voto:
Massive and powerful disc. Sure, Jabs comes across as more abrasive compared to Roth, but he does his "dirty" work. Two curiosities: Bucholz is on tour with Uli Jon Roth, and when I saw him, I thought: "this guy reminds me of someone"; the first album of the '80s is "Animal Magnetism" with the legendary "The Zoo." Compliments to Meine for managing to regain a bright voice after losing it!
Johnny Winter Johnny Winter And Live
Voto:
It's a high-energy live performance. Okay, they will be covers, but Winter (Johnny) is at the top here! As for Edgar, he's the brother (as mentioned earlier) and he's a keyboardist.
Glenn Hughes Music For The Divine

Well, 5 stars are definitely excessive for this album. "Steppin' On" and "Monkey Man" are really good, but some tracks fall a bit short, like the predictable "In This House." It's still a good album, but I prefer "Soul Mover" more.

I wonder how editors can publish such unworthy things like these reviews...

The album is spectacular! I come from "Bad Sneakers And A Pina Colada" and I prefer this one ten times more than the debut. I agree with you that the penultimate track is the most irrelevant. Of course, the phrase "Io per me posso solo sperare che continuino a suonare..." doesn't really sound very Italian...
AA.VV. Rockstar - The Soundtrack
Voto:
No.. it's not a masterpiece, but in my opinion, if you like music, the film tells a bit about the lives of rock stars (as the title suggests) with the classic generalization of sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll. All in all, I think it's worth watching. On IMDb, I found this interesting fact: "The film was inspired by the real-life story of Tim 'Ripper' Owens, singer in a Judas Priest cover band who was chosen to replace singer Rob Halford when he left Judas Priest."

The movie is not bad at all. I liked it, while I haven't heard the OST, maybe I'll get it in the future.
Kiss Creatures Of The Night
Voto:
No Dante enough:D... The album is excellent. A hard rock turn for Kiss, who had lost credibility. That final part of "Creatures Of The Night" doesn’t seem like "a little solo" to me. It will be a little run by Stanley to wrap up the piece in an unexpected way. Even though Frehley appears on the cover, from what I know, he didn’t participate at all in the recordings of this album, as he was already out of the band.
