THE REVIEW

Here they are again, 2 years after the excellent NO REGRETS, an album that showcased their glam rock soul to the music world... But... what happened?? Only 2 years have passed, and I find myself holding an album that is decidedly more rock, richer in sound, more engaged... and it initially stuns a bit, makes one wonder what on earth happened to the 4 Swedish glamsters. Well, I must say they got angry, the songs are sharper, there's less fun and more "seriousness," if we want to put it that way.

First track: "Kick On The Upperclass"... well, it couldn't be a more perfect entry to the album, an enveloping refrain, complete with keyboard sounds that fill the singer's pauses, who, as always, with his powerful and high voice, enhances greatly. Moving on to the second, "Bag On Your Head," the song that impressed me the most, having a certain something dark, but revealing itself as a fast and powerful hard rock anthem, with a really aggressive end. Track 3, "Last Forever," here the pace slows down, echoes are found, there's a solo I cannot describe, very beautiful within the song's atmosphere... a must-listen. 4: "She's Offbeat"... a track that's postponed, not so much for the beautiful refrain and riffs, but for the déjà vu feeling... 5: "We Don't Celebrate Sundays," the second single before the album's release, which along with the other (7: "Wild Boys") I define as the black sheep of the album... don't get me wrong, they might be the most beautiful, but the difference with the others is noticeable, these two being more tied to HCSS's old sound, still, they are the ones you'll sing at the top of your lungs, too beautiful! Track number 6, "Hateful," a slow and fast song, with a hint of Motley Crue from the '80s (I argued with a friend over this...) but really spot-on, these guys have changed their style by drawing inspiration from hard rock, deviating from glam, and they've succeeded brilliantly! Here we are at tracks 8, 9, 10... here are three great songs, the "happy ones of the album," catchy and intuitive (a special note for "Simple Man," which perhaps has the album's most beautiful refrain). The penultimate track, "Blood On Me," is the least beautiful in my opinion, but I'll leave the judgment to you who will listen to it. Finally, the ballad, "Standin On the Verge," impactful, a slow rock, a really beautiful voice... Ah, one thing... "GTO" is not in my album, whoever listens to it is asked to write a note somewhere... I'm curious!

Well, turning point album? I think so, certainly it might have (as it already has) contrasting judgments, were they better in glam style? Have they improved now that they are more hard? I can only hope they continue to play and create "Hardcore Superstar" songs because these guys have talent and style to spare. Why is there one point missing from the highest mark? Well, because that pinch of originality present in the three old albums is missing, but I'm sure many won't care. A piece of advice: listen to them.

Come, smash up your seats tonight
Sippin’on wine
I’m fine
The music keeps me up all night
Cause I’m full of lust
Come with us
Run for your lives

I’m only lonely when the music’s over
Lonely when you’re going home

[Chorus:]
We don’t celebrate Sundays anymore
(we don't celebrate Sundays)
My good church is not open on Sundays
(we don't celebrate Sundays)

Touched, touched by that amazing sound
My blood begins to boil
A celebration to the night
Cause I’m full of lust
Come with us
Let’s spend the night

There’s no, no religion in my house
No thick people in my house

[Chorus:]
We don’t celebrate...

We don't celebrate Sundays anymore

[Churos:]
We don’t celebrate...

Come, smash up your seats tonight
(we don't celebrate Sundays)
I said come, celebration to the night
