Spearmint A Different Lifetime

Dear de-reviewer Monsieur Lello, a pleasant de-review (albeit brief) for a completely unknown record (just to change things up..): it would seem [conditional obligatory, upon closing the box] one of those classic little obscurities whose sweetness and sincerity can reconcile us with the (often amorphous and unexpressive) surrounding world. Many respects and even more. Your crusher of carcasses of (dis)trust.

Dear Mister de-reviewer StefanoHab, indeed in the pompous de-commentation I committed a classic case of Freudian Lapsus (dumbing down) by swapping the name of the group with the title of the L.P. (damn arteriosclerosis!!): I am pleased to note not only that you know the winter group, but that they are also of your notable liking.. Speaking of Frost (this time I am referring to the legendary CELTIC FROST), you surely know that at the beginning of 2006 the de-publication of the new album recorded with the ancient (and stratospheric) formation of "Into The Pandemonium" is scheduled... Warm regards aplenty. Your trusted Wrecking Carriage.

Dear de-sfrecciatore Monsieur Massimof, a disc that is definitely nice indeed, just like the pleasant and wind-tousled de-recensione: I remember back in the day when someone (forcibly) compared it to the much-talked-about Nirvaname imperante (perhaps because it was released by the same label [Geffen], who knows..) not realizing that within these pleasant grooves (besides the pulsing of guitar and bass + drums) there was definitely something more.. To tell the truth, I haven’t listened to it in almost forever.. and above all.. if only I had had a fluorescent Ritmo back then.. a wildly unhinged (but loyal and loving) one hundred twenty-six (not that Bis, of course) would have accompanied my canzenottistiche road outings.. Ossequiformi saludos. Your Stritola Carcasse di (s)fiducia.

Uh.. forgive the unforgivable mistake, I meant to say.. Monsieur METALMANIAC (Freudian slip.. from reading "massacrature" too much..) etc. etc.

Dear de-reviewer Monsieur The Punisher, while respecting your de-commentary and laying down all the respectable respect possible, according to the dismantled script that you crafted, it is truly an absolute (unwitting ?) ABSOLUTE PEARL of de-reviewing.. and as such, nearly unjudgable. Metallic greetings in abundance. Your Stritola Lamiere (indeed, I know quite a bit about metals..) of (dis)trust.

Dear de-reviewer Mister UcCaBaRuCcA, not being familiar with the album in question and having (almost) never been a fan of the so-called 80s rock, let alone R(apid) E(ye) M(ovement) (I believe that’s what it means..), I’m afraid the reviewed album does not exactly fall into the category of works that urgently need to be dismantled and researched. To be honest, even the de-reviewing tone (perhaps fitting for the essence of the reviewed album..) is noticeably lower than previous ones. Yours sincerely, though very cordially. Your S.C. of (d)trust.
Vinicio Capossela Canzoni a manovella

Dear De-reviewer Monsieur UcCaBaRuCcA (..still waiting to better understand your Russian-mountainous nickname), indeed Good Vinicio possesses a stylistic signature that is truly hair-raising, especially if one refers to the nearly suffocating/festival-like/San Remesea [in case you are really a stranger, perhaps you won't fully appreciate the cloacal dimension of the unnamed pseudo-musical "contexts" on the sidelines] POP-musical scene of tricolor; moreover, the de-commented disc contains some of the most intriguing (de gustibus) and enjoyable tracks from his recent production... umm by the way (do tell, do tell..) what exactly would be the others' vision of the hopeless and forced Italian-ness abroad? Obsequious to a great extent and then some. Your S.C. of (s)trust.

Dear de-reviewer Monsieur UcCaBaRuCcA (one day, if you have the kindness, you will explain the intrinsic meaning of your cryptic nickname..), a most enjoyable de-review for a record that is indeed more than enjoyable and (D.G.) well-executed. The only thing on which I would have some meager reservations is regarding the overall and final rating attributed (D.G. part 2) to the aforementioned Calexicata; personally, I would have leaned towards a more rounded five out of five.. but it is what it is. The only note of regret (SKERZO, of course) is being almost in agreement with the above de-commentator, Monsieur Punny The Punisher (..you being new cannot know the critical/verbal history with the De-Punisher par excellence) [side note: if the Punisher is/truly were a real Punisher, I believe he should manifest himself solely to INFLICT punishments and "massacre" -to use terminology dear to him- and not to assign "high" ratings to others' records/reviews: by his own admission, it seems there exists a (his) alter ego specifically designed to evaluate records he likes and hence positively the works of others in commentary/review..](closed parentheses). Obsequious as can be. Your S.C. of (s)trust.

Dear de-commentatoreo Monsieur Antonio, while respecting your personal de-commento, I would consider the de-commentato the last dignitified album of the Prong-ian Artistic Parabola. Having, the group, proposed (considerably) better in the past, particularly with "Beg To Differ," creating what can very likely (de gustibus) be defined as their little "masterpiece," I would not attribute too many and undeserved qualities to this de-commentato (although not mediocre) work (as, after all, even Ella has testified). With warmest regards. Your S.C. di (s)fiducia.

Dear de-reviewer and de-replicator Monsieur HABSTRACT (this time I got it right on the first try... unfortunately, arteriosclerosis is galloping), you cannot even imagine (at this point) how curious I am to listen to the de-reviewed work... it might be that I am not much of a believer, hence I generally do not place much trust in miracles, but I assure you that I would be more than happy (if the occasion arises) to fully agree with you. I would also like to point out that there are no genres that are stagnant by nature (like the one in question), but simply that, unfortunately, in (almost) all cases (read new recruits, new albums) no one manages/dares almost at all to go "beyond" (becoming "something else": let's hope that those you have de-reviewed belong to this very sparse category...). I was also wondering if you know or have ever listened to (speaking of chilling albums) "Eternal Winter" by Frost (I don’t remember the exact year of release... maybe the early 90s): truly a monolith (as I seem to recall...) of ultra "icy" doom/death and intriguing (in my humble opinion, of course). Most obedient regards. Your Scarrozzatore di (s)fiducia.
