NUMetal is the scourge of God. However, this album, especially the first four or five tracks, tends to lose attention inexorably afterwards; it conveys a little bit of good (without too many pretensions, of course). UH!

In fact, I don't believe (actually, I'm sure) I've ever listened to a Yes album in its entirety (unless we want to include "90125" among them - which I believe historical Yes fans abhor - that my schoolmates passed to me in first grade and which I quite enjoyed back then), not even those considered epoch-making (starting from various "Fragile," going through "Close To The Edge," and ending with the mentioned "Drama"). Despite this [I wouldn’t know why myself], I've been diving into this new Yes without Anderson for several consecutive days in heavy rotation: well (despite my considerable ignorance on the matter), it doesn’t seem so bad to me, quite the opposite. Of course, it’s not unlikely that for those who knew (and appreciated) them in the past, this sort of vetero(neo) prog might present itself as a questionable recycling of things that have already been said and played abundantly. Personally (reiterating my substantial lack of reference points), I find that it can be listened to in its varied integrity without boring more than necessary and without considerable drops in tone. While it may lack earth-shattering tracks, one can appreciate the absence of useless fragments. I wouldn’t go on further. Or Vùàr.
