Deftones Around The Fur
Voto:
Listening to them all again, this is definitely their best album, precisely because it features a significant thrash influence among the various musical trends (which Jeremy doesn't like... oh well!). While, from an emotional perspective, the songs of White Pony and Deftones are more beautiful, from a technical-sound standpoint, Around the Fur is impeccable. New-wave-thrash-emocore, no other band has managed to blend these trends better. Perhaps yesterday I would have said that White Pony is their masterpiece, but it must be that I'm going through a boozy phase that is bringing me back to more thrash sounds. Pantera on repeat...

Jigoro, take it easy with the insults; clearly, your language is only made up of words like "cazzoni" and "fottetivi." We all know the mistakes of Metallica, but you couldn't expect them to make all albums 5/5 like the first four. I don't want to defend anyone (I’m not that fond of Load and Reload either, nor am I a Metallica fanatic), but I think a band that can evolve, avoiding falling into repetitiveness (which is characteristic of many metal bands), is a great band. What does commercial mean to you? Even Iron Maiden are commercial, especially among 15-year-olds, but you can't deny that they've contributed a lot to music.

Commercial or not, this is a great album. Nice review, accurate rating. But we all know that for masterpieces, you have to go back a few years.

You've focused a lot on the group and little (almost nothing) on the album. Anyway, the review isn't poorly written.

I've been told that this album is more serious than the others... meh, I find them too idiotic... and that's that!
