...and they return once more to flood us with unlimited brutality. And with this "The Wretched Spawn" I can confirm (as can everyone who follows this musical trend) the massive consolidation of the band. Yes, indeed, we are now facing the new Cannibal Corpse... and I would add, without any dismay. Of course, thinking about their old works might revive a bit of nostalgia for all fans, but the five cannibals have simply changed course in terms of sound.
This new album can be compared to "Gore Obsessed," but even broader and more mature. Change of sound, yes, but the path taken from the beginning has not changed and they will never change it! This new release is very varied because the songs contained within were all individually written by each member of the group. Each track has its own style and its different approach. The more the years pass, the more it can be noticed that Cannibal Corpse grows more and more in everything. They have never appeared static in their career but have always offered their CDs without ever changing style.
What else is there to say... as usual, everyone is committed to doing their job, and I would say more than decently. You can feel they still want to play and make their mark. It's pointless to talk to you in-depth about the album, almost all of us know what we're getting into when listening to Cannibal Corpse. The band that has been dominating uncontested for 10 years now in their territory is here before you! More massacring and bloody than ever!
