This debate is interesting. Evidently, I've annoyed some Bon Jovi fans. I don't respond to insults, an obvious sign of a profound inability to engage in dialogue. I explain to the anonymous Bon Jovi fan that I saw the concert. I was right under the stage. Bon Jovi came out wearing a long-sleeved leather jacket that he then soaked with sweat (given the 40° heat). He started with a nice cover of Neil Young (a sign of great personality ;-) usually, covers are saved for the encore...) and then dived into his repertoire of, as you say, 20 years of pop music history. A review is nothing more than the personal viewpoint of the reviewer. Mine in this case. Of Bon Jovi's 20 years of music, I don't know what to make of it. They aren't a value. They haven't influenced anyone. They haven't sown any seeds. We're talking about a sideshow phenomenon, followed by billions of people worldwide. It's like comparing a blockbuster movie to an auteur film like Aki Kaurismäki or Akira Kurosawa: special effects will soon be forgotten, they'll make better ones, but the emotions are found in other films, which everyone then draws inspiration from. Now it's late, go blow-dry your hair and watch out for split ends.
