Deus Ex Machina: Bobby Gillespie.

The album that was missing this year has arrived and has manifested in all its splendor. To put it together after creating it, some significant figures were called in, such as ex-My Bloody Valentine Kevin Shields and Andy Weatherall, who already had a hand in the 1991 milestone "Screamadelica". Among the various guests, even Kate Moss!

After a lackluster "Vanishing Point" and the splendid and biting "XTRMNTR", this album positions itself just below their masterpiece. We find developed the concepts of the last years of Primal Scream from the electro-punk sounds to the sexy and melancholic melodies.

It starts with "Deep Hit Of Morning Sun", psychedelic and sublime, then in random order there's "Miss Lucifer", which is the continuation of "Swastika Eyes" and really makes you want to turn up the volume until you piss off the neighbors. Then "Autobahn 66" and "A Scanner Darkly", two similarly retro tracks, almost vintage mid-80's.

This album smells like freshly baked bread, which immediately whets your appetite. A melting pot of new and already deeply entrenched sounds in your imagination. For years, whenever I find myself traveling and the plane flies above the clouds, peeking down from the window, I observe that mass of water that looks like cotton and with the sun hanging in the sky by an invisible thread, I hum to myself: "I'm higher then the sun/haa-a-ha/ Higher then the sun".

What will be my next catchy tune from Bobby G. and company?

Sublime!
