From the legendary label Good Looking Records, here comes the new compilation curated by the creative mind of LTJ Bukem. A brief recap of previous episodes: "Earth 1": a great debut for the label and the artists gathered in it. A journey through jazzy-tunes and drum'n'bass via jungle tracks, not to be missed. "Earth 2": a sharp turn towards jazz and Ninja-like sounds, weak. "Earth 3": a beautiful record, returning towards drum'n'bass, versatile, beautiful. "Earth 4": not like number 3 but contains some masterpieces. Still beautiful. Now "Earth 5". We omit some tracks from the compilation like Paul Hunter "The Warning" and Rebirth of Cool "Enlightment". The best artist presented is Vincent, featured with 3 overwhelming tracks. Unsettling sounds of extraordinary intensity, jazzy bases, and disconnected sounds from various origins (beautiful the "out-of-tune" piano in "Blofeld"). Close your eyes and dream of journeys to distant lands. The true masterpiece is the track by K-Scope "Black Widow". A thriller classic would deserve such a track. It conveys unease, perhaps due to the sound of footsteps with which the track begins. At the end of the track, a sampled heavy breathing. Be careful to distinguish it from your own. Also beautiful is the track by Tayla and Artemis "Soft Focus". Ideal for a journey to distant lands, away from crowded metropolises and pristine mountain villages....
