I owe their discovery to the good Bertallot. Heard by chance on his show, I was struck by the beauty of Hope. A track with a sensual and jazzy rhythm, black and dub at the highest levels. I got the EP and noticed that it wasn't all at that level, actually... I agree with a solid 3, but Hope deserves a 5.

Yes, bizarre, eclectic, flamboyant, in short, outclassed. Of course, well-structured, "frippian" as you hint. In lands like these, I always struggle to trace the feelings. But it's an impression I get from the samples, so it's "by instinct."

Thank you, Giorgio. In reality, I have no pretensions of being a critic. Zingales was one of the few that I appreciated a long time ago when I still used to buy music magazines. My absolute favorite remains the late Alessandro Calovolo on the pages of Rockerilla (the 80s and 90s). Tempovision is a great album, and the animated videos made by his brother are beautiful. The recent Superdiscount 2 is also quite interesting. All in all, it seems to me that he is the more talented of the two.

Nicola Conte deserves respect. As a musician and as the host of a venue (the Fez) that has made history. "Other Directions" is a successful album; I have listened to it briefly. However, this happens to me: I listen to it often, I enjoy it for a short time, but then I forget about it. In short, I "consume" it, and then it struggles to stay with me over time.

Dear Jam, Giorgio is right. It should be the Air thanking De Crecy and Zdar (Cassius) because it was they who launched them with their first productions. And even before that, James Lavelle who included them in the seminal quadruple HEADZ.
