It makes me quite chuckle the way you "flatter yourself": space disco, touches the listener's soul, sublime guitar, etc. etc... but!:DD! Well done: in 10 lines you've said it all!

I miss this, and I think for now I will settle for his less recent works. However, great page. I agree: wonderful balance of fun and professionalism!

For now, this review has the most exhausting track by track of all of 2008. It will be really hard to do worse..

but have you tried to have a wank listening to this record?!? I haven't, but I doubt anything good could come of it..

"We were 16. I wanted to grow up and she wanted to become more and more of a child"... I mean, you wanted to hook up, but she filled you with nonsense like "I don't feel ready yet / I want the first time to be special + I want it to be with the right person / it's not like you're with me just for that / etc etc"?

Summer '97: the worst love crash of my life! It's something I might have only gotten over years later... luckily, there were the Pestilence to keep me company! :D!

Absolutely delightful! I’m very fond of the image you used to start the review: I am a three-time district champion of "Car air drumming in traffic during the rain"! Well done indeed!

I have always refused to watch this movie because of Lo Verso, whom I find unbearable on a personal level, beyond any artistic evaluation, but I really liked the review.

...mmm... I don't agree, not so much on the evaluation of the album, but on some of the considerations you make. 1) Honestly, I belong to the camp that tends to downplay the May-Nerd figure. I mean, I don't see this whole deus ex machina thing. 2) By '96, thrash (if you meant classic tHrash) had practically disappeared for a few years already. 3) I've seen Tool live a few times, and they've never impressed me: surgical performances and an ecstatic crowd, but if they could occasionally remove the stick from their ass, it wouldn't be half bad. That said: I believe this album is my favorite of their discography. Bye.

But no! That's Blackdog!:DD! P.S.: today is a mess at work: I had a couple more things to say about the Slayer speech, but I think I’ll come back tonight...
