LA RECENSIONE

Absolutism.

Florian Fricke walks down a dimly lit street in Berlin with his followers behind him - Veit, Eliscu, Yun, Wiese, Sonnleitner.

One of them holds an old twelve-string guitar, a grandmother leaning out of a window owns a sixteen-thousand-string and spits in Fricke's face. He, totally tripping, doesn't notice anything. But he does notice he doesn't even have a damned can of beer anymore - Ah!

Part sixteenth of a quarter of quartz gone bad.

From the mirror to the right a woman looks. Looks at what? Herself.
She contemplates herself with those long hair, the solemn, shiny, iconoclastic gaze.
Irreversibly angelic.

And as that exclamation flows, you feel that rain of flowers arriving.
It literally explodes in "Hosianna Mantra", in all its 10 minutes of sensational duration.

Because what is Hosianna? It's our fear of living.
It's the fear of masturbating while listening to the sweet notes produced by drugged and cultured musicians like no one before.
It's the accursed fixed window of Florian Fricke open until the finale of whistles of a thousand and thousand records.

It's nothing; it's everything. Ah!

Leaving through the exit, you hear the second part.

Hosianna Mantra - the record comes out between the '60s and '80s, it's not clear exactly when.
Some (almost all) liars claim it's 1973. Impossible; in 1973 the only record released on the markets was "The Dark Side Of The Moon". Liars. Liars like Hosianna.
Because Hosianna enchants you, devours you inside, like a thousand arches of fire.

Its clear, fresh, and sweet waters have nothing to do with the clear, fresh, and sweet waters of Hosianna (?).

Questions scattered to the aura. Questions that find answers in the question itself.
Hosianna?
Ah!

Hosianna Mantra:
1. Ah! (4:40)
2. Kyrie (5:23)
3. Hosianna Mantra (10:09)

Das V. Buch Mose:
4. Abschied (3:14)
5. Segnung (6:07)
6. Andacht (0:47)
7. Nicht hoch im Himmel (6:18)
8. Andacht (0:46)

The entire work should be considered: a celebration of the soul, of joy, and of light that makes the mind vibrate, floating in the most absolute stasis and calm...

More than the individual songs, the entire work should be considered: a celebration of the soul, of joy, and of light.

I just have to hit play and hope to find once again those angels whispering Hosianna Mantra in my ear.

A Sunday in the spirit of relaxation... you find yourself before a celestial vision. A pure waterfall, tall, paradisiacal.

Florian Fricke raises a sound wave that nullifies the distance between earth and sky, his celestial sound hovers among the runes, a magniloquent and glorious song of Hecate...

Ecstasy and wonder, suggestion and solemnity, a cascade of pure light like spring water, crystalline and dazzling.

Electronic music could not have expressed the spiritual potential and purity contained in this work.

After forty minutes the effect is that of a prayer: peace in the spirit.

"Hosianna Mantra was a mystical hymn imbued with cosmic purity that marvelously united Christian and Eastern religiosity."

"It is impossible to remain indifferent if you manage to enter into the pan-cultural mysticism of this record."
