acceptable, nothing more. The Punisher is right.

Objectively, and I'm saying this as a fan of Clapton, the review is a bit too... how should I put it... "bowed" (mind you, in front of a great artist, but certainly not for one of his best albums…). However, the tour for the album (which I saw in Verona, and there are some very well-recorded bootlegs online) was truly excellent. (primiballi.blogspot.com)

very sad record, chapter of the long very sad end (an end that stubbornly refuses to end) of the late Edo. Sadness.
Paolo Conte Parole d'amore scritte a macchina

@brixton: I repeat what I said in the review: for me it's an ethereal and "strange" album, definitely very high, but from a purely compositional standpoint, it's not among the best (first "Un gelato" and "Paris," not to mention "Aguaplano," and then at least "900" and for me "Elegia" are superior). However, I want to clarify...here we are discussing a distance that oscillates between 9 and a half and 10...

I reiterate my opinion: very enjoyable album but certainly not one of the best (Zucchero knows but often doesn't want to do much better...)
The Rolling Stones A Bigger Bang

well... "Steel Wheels" was pretty good too, though... (and in my opinion, "Undercover" as well...)
Francesco De Gregori Miramare 19.04.1989

I reiterate what I already said above...: arrangements that are too eighties and a bit too impersonal (and I am, mind you, a devotee of the eighties...). With Pezzi's arrangements, it would have been much, much better...(and anyway, we have better arrangements than almost all the tracks in the countless live performances...so we are just fine...)
Fabrizio De André Anime salve

@degregorius: I really appreciate the clarification, but you need to consider the fact that if it had only been De André (which I find impossible: without "compositive" collaborators, he wouldn’t have released albums for many years), we definitely wouldn't have had "ho visto Nina volare," "smisurata preghiera," and the same "anime salve," that is, the fossatiane only slightly touched up by Faber (a little and only on the lyrics), and perhaps, besides the "faberiana" "acciughe," the most beautiful and significant songs on the album (at least in my opinion...).

Well... let's start by saying, in a light-hearted way, that we could find ourselves united in the war against Molise (...!). Then, we could throw out another small, hyper-provocative subgroup: okay, let's talk about Veneto, okay, Molise... but let's not put them on the same level as Trentino-Alto Adige, a splendid paradisiacal microcosm that, in terms of food and wine, is (almost) at the same level as Piedmont. @Hal: excellent intervention, fully shareable. Lately, I often find myself reflecting on the value "in itself" of artistic production, a discussion that, in my opinion, is both lofty and completely "out" these days. It is precisely these days, when almost everything has already been said (after all, both Coltrane and Faber have already been around...), that we should reevaluate (and I, in my small way, try to do so) the golden principle of "doing things for the sake of doing them, and for the sheer pleasure of doing them."
