Tin Machine is an interesting but absolutely minor product (so I completely agree), but I would invite you to consider the presence of "Loving The Alien" in "Tonight." We can agree on the weakness of the album, but this piece is absolutely a masterpiece. "Let's Dance" is exactly what I meant when talking about clichés of the '80s: for years, it was practically obligatory to consider it nonsense, whereas, in my opinion, it’s a great album, written, sung, and played divinely, and moreover, it has inspired many. "Never Let Me Down": the song is decent, but the rest is quite poor.

This, like many others, is the symbol of the prevailing cliché in the critique of the '80s, sometimes absurdly and dogmatically severe. Better than today when critical sense simply doesn’t exist anymore...? I don’t know: certainly, criticizing aimlessly wasn’t much of an activity. This album is an excellent record by the Prince, undoubtedly superior to Miramare and Canzoni D'Amore (which, for me, are truly below average...thankfully raised by the last two excellent albums). In any case, the official criticism of the '80s is almost entirely in need of revision. Day by day, calmly, we will do it.

I consider it, along with "earthling," absolutely the best Bowie of recent times. A truly magnetic album (the adjective is spot on). However, I don’t agree with those who think Reality is trash (it's just an album "thrown out there" by a genius, who remains a genius). More than anything, it would be nice to know what people think of Bowie's music from the '80s (the subject of one of the most enduring musical clichés, in my opinion).
Morgan Non al denaro, non all'amore né al cielo

I am extremely concerned about my absolute agreement with enkriko... Morgan is an unmatched fool, who with this work has declared nothing less than all his unjustifiable love for himself. For certain operations, it's better to just jerk off and not try to sell it to us. Otherwise.

Thank you: I think "you write wonderfully" followed by a "vaffa" to Macca is the best compliment possible (and I'm not kidding). Anyway, I reiterate: he hit the mark (even though for me the best solo album is and remains Flowers In The Dirt"... but maybe more for personal and generational reasons than anything else... the judgment is weak, we are men, not captains...).

Guys...is it a serious problem not to understand enkriko, and to often have the suspicion that he says and thinks nonsense...? Maybe I'm wrong and simply don't get it...who knows...will I be able to survive...?

cece65: well done, well done, and well done again!!!! You know when we read each other's minds...? This was the appeal that I would have sent sooner or later as well, and I now enthusiastically endorse it. EJ is undoubtedly one of the greatest Italian singer-songwriters (probably the greatest living one alongside Fossati and Conte), and the fact that there are only five CDs of his (a recent compilation, a live album, and the last three studio albums... plus some random collection from a bargain bin...) is an absolute shame. A shame that would also be worth fixing, if record labels weren't dominated by idiots who don't understand a damn thing.

Thank you for the compliments. After hearing it again, I confirm what I wrote. This time Sir Paul really got it right, with a production that’s as wise as it is not "mega."

The term "minor record" is a nasty habit of the eighties, which were amazing years but that had a bit of a labeling problem... So let's try to have a historical perspective, and let's have the courage to say that the five albums by the Police do not include any minor episodes at all. It was one of the shortest and most dazzling careers in so-called light music, and we can consider it as a whole, without making too many qualms. In the eighties, we were indeed a bit harsh in our judgments (in return, today everyone eats just about anything...)

I have many records by Bollani, which I've also listened to live and appreciate very much. Perhaps the comparison with Jarrett is a bit exaggerated...but let's give it time. I would say that today, at least in Italy, he has absolutely nothing to envy to Pieranunzi, Rea, and Sellani (I've mentioned my favorites, not necessarily the most talented...). If you adore Chet, I hope you have or know "The Heart Of The Ballad," his very last studio recording, in duo with Pieranunzi. Pure divinity.
