Transfattyacid by Lamb, redone by them, is worth the purchase of the CD on its own. Highly recommended even for those who don't follow the genre much.

I've been listening to After for almost ten years, and I've seen them at least ten times, the last of which was in Brussels (last month) for the promotion of the album in English. Although the audience was mostly Italian, no one thought of booing or criticizing the songs in English; it was a great concert with many throwbacks from the past.
As for Agnelli, we all know how difficult his character can be (who remembers the MTV Day a few years ago when he smashed his guitar on stage?). He demonstrated an absolute lack of irony (as well as professionalism). However, the audience could have contested Agnelli in ten thousand other ways: by not applauding, leaving the venue, or by choosing not to go to the concert in the first place, given that - reiterating what Kosmo has already said - even the rocks knew they were singing in English on this tour.

I just got Blues and Roots by Mingus, which captivated me after just a few listens. I've recently started getting into jazz, and with a lot of reverential fears, let's say I was worried I might encounter music that was too subtle and intellectual for my ignorant tastes. How wrong I was: Mingus is the most physical and visceral that jazz can offer. Thank you for this beautiful review.
