DRoooOOOooOOooone. Even though the best piss piss Japanese group for me is Acid Mothers Temple, Boris holds the title of best japa-drone, not to mention Church Of Misery, though they lean more towards guitar-driven stuff. I don’t mind the review; it conveys the idea of the album and the references to the bands are spot on.

Yes, but Lombardo wasn't there. The event was precisely in the replacement of Lombardo with Terri Bozzio (the drummer for Frank Zappa and a thousand others, always ranking among the top 10 in all "best drummer in history" lists). In fact, the show was different than usual, with more bells and less kick drum. Moreover, there is no "under tone" for Buzzo and Dunn, since in Fantomas, everything is written and produced by Patton, and in live performances, he acts as the conductor. So if Buzzo seemed "under tone" to you, it's because Patton wanted it that way; the same goes for Dunn. In the end, if you just played Sonic Youth, it would have been better. Especially since the Melvins haven't broken up, so that "Ex Melvins" label is really bad.

But I have nothing to say about the acoustic stuff, but when I hear bullshit like "TRUE and honest Rock N Roll," "Power," "Guitar like a machine gun" associated with Bruss, it just makes me laugh; it's nonsense from 13-year-old fans. Damn, you can like it as much as you want, but it's an objective fact that his fucking live shows, even if they're beautiful, have no power whatsoever. But do you even know what POWER means?
