Hip-Hop? Let's say, I'd call it delusions of Islamism: don't eat meat, don't drink dairy even though our easy American lifestyle is too cool and in our lifestyle there are cheeseburgers and cheesecake and hot dogs, we’re all brothers and children of the groove so don’t shoot yourselves because Allah doesn’t want that, but let’s arm ourselves against the oppressors and kick their asses, Allah is with us but we are against war, yet we wage war on those who make war, etc. etc... In short, contradictory nonsense laid over a minimal four-four beat with the addition of two or three bass chords and a sampled voice. This is true Hip Hop, no doubt, thanks to the artist.

Come on, even these HardCore? As usual, I take a stand against the doctrine that if you're under Hydrahead, you're Hardcore. In my opinion, they're Heavy Psychedelia all the way—spacey riffs and groovy bass, zero repressed anger or Bimbo-Scream ;-). I almost want to give you four :)) (but it's been a while since I was still with Isis, they were together with the first EPs under that super-indie label I can't remember, escape or exkape or something similar, but then both changed their flags. :D)
