No, Pp, I'm not familiar with My Morning Jacket, but I've read their name somewhere.... Speaking of Giardini di Mirò, I can NOW say a couple of things... Here in the area, we organized one of their shows on Friday. They played at a venue about thirty kilometers from Lugano (Il Garage di Castione). Well. They are nice people. Pretty cool. The concert: with the caveat that the venue doesn’t offer top-notch acoustics, I can say that the concert was excellent. In the sense that there was nothing thrilling. Listening to their album brings me joy (my friends think I’m a heretic, but in my opinion, the early Curve fits perfectly here), but during the concert, well, at a certain point, I went to the bar... The volumes were too high (I know their sound engineer; he also works with garage’n’roll bands like the Slugs from Bologna), inappropriate distortions, and the singer was not in good form. Anyway, there were a couple of nice "trips." The cover of Heroes by Bowie was amazing (though it would have been better if they had done it instrumentally), while the one of I Wanna Be Your Dog was lovely......... Now I see I've dropped a mini review on you... I'll stop here! :)
