Oh yes, Tambor, Ugo Mazzia is truly a character :-D I know the ODM personally, I've mentioned it several times here on Debaser, so I'll focus on the new record. I want to be honest: it doesn't grab me as much as You Kill Me and 1000 Doses Of Love. I thought about why for a long time... it's not because of the change from Favero to Veneziano on guitars (which I would say was successful), it's not the slightly more melodic style (which I would call more "pixie"), it's not the more refined production... but it’s the voice, which seems to me less gritty, less bluesy, less rough than usual. "Pierpaolo Capovilla still appreciates distortions and ear-splitting squeals, meowing his melodic lines as usual." Meowing? Once Pierpaolo growled, not meowed! To reassure myself, I would need to see them live, which is ultimately their most ideal setting. In any case, they remain the best in Italy, even with this album. :-)

In my opinion, Psycho didn't mean the Soft Boys of Robyn Hitchcock, but rather the "soft" boys of Cope (that is, the Teardrop Explodes.) in the literal sense of the term, meaning "soft"... that's how I understood it, but I might be wrong.

Hopeful, I await the official release. I completely agree with the anonymous commenter who criticizes reviews of albums that haven't yet been released to the market. Reviewing an album in mono is total heresy (the sound is FUNDAMENTAL to me!). Not everyone has the ability or time to download pirate tracks (I, for example), so these people don't have the chance to comment on your review with informed judgment... Review prematurely burned, it's a shame because it's not bad...
