I was also at the concert in Bari that Jim is talking about. Everyone was curious to see these rag dolls in action, and everyone ended up quite disappointed by the gig. The funny thing is that the promotional flyers for the concert described the bad girls in question as an alternative phenomenon that, despite record labels wanting to turn them into a group like the Spais, held their ground, etc. etc... But aside from the fact that the trend in Italy seems to just copy foreign rock bands— and in this sense I completely agree with Ashanti’s analysis of the Italian discography— the girls really don’t know how to play rock 'n roll. It doesn’t take much to do punk rock, but you have to know how to hit the instrument; otherwise, what the hell are you playing?
Returning to the pseudo-feminism, we note that on the album cover I see in the review there is a nice group photo, and in the flyer mentioned above, there was another great photo (and wow, they were so hot), and the posters too. So people go to see them out of curiosity to watch these rock chicks in action, and it's fine for them because if they were guys, the audience would end up smashing their instruments over them by the end of the gig. Equality is pure nonsense. P.S.: The bassist is the cutest and can actually play.

Beautiful for S4doll, damn I get the Canadians... or rather: piito?
I check these out because I was unaware of them, in the meantime, I want to point out another Canadian band that seems interesting: You Say Party! We Say Die!

I can recommend Jesus Christ Superstar, from '96, right in the middle of the ebm explosion.
Big industrial-rock guitars and electronics very reminiscent of Ministry/Front Line Assembly.
Check it out!

A very challenging record indeed, the reissue is more to be appreciated for its documentary intent as it hasn't been remastered specifically. Nevertheless, there is interesting stuff. Frankly, I prefer Laibach more techno-metal. Anyway, an important European band that was missing on Debaser, well done.
