I paid little for it too, but back then I was just a damn thirteen-year-old and knew nothing about Hendrix. There are dozens of these posthumous collections, always the same old crap with unreleased tracks that are now more released than the released ones, some live recordings not known where they were made and included without any logical thread. Some duets recorded secretly. I know Morrison lament, and more than a gem, I’d call it a piece of crap. What’s next, publishing Hendrix’s farts from the toilet, and the repertoire of indiscriminate exploitation is complete? If he were still alive, he would never have allowed such a thing. Dear Donnie Darko, listen to those 4 albums that Hendrix released during his lifetime; that’s the real Hendrix.

I can’t give Queen less than 4 because I love Freddie’s voice and Brian’s guitar style. I'm not very interested in the band’s presumed or real artistic value; I'm one of those who listen because I like them, plain and simple. Putting "One Vision" among the melodramatic and cheesy songs seems like nonsense to me, considering it’s one of the best hard rock tracks of the '80s. "Gimme the Prize" and "Princes of the Universe" are heavy rock in every sense, what kind of pissed-off pop is that? I agree on "One Year of Love," it’s beautiful. And then there’s "Who Wants to Live Forever."
