I must say that it has rarely happened to me musically to have made such a spot-on purchase. One of those albums that leaves you amazed not so much because the artist surprises you—and this is not the case—so much because you cannot believe that such a beautiful album costs so little....
I'm talking about “Purple Haze,” a double collection by the great Jimi Hendrix, at a ridiculous price (9.90 euros) where you will find an incredible journey through historic tracks, many of which are live, including a spectacular “Little Wing”. Electrifying pieces that once again testify to the stellar greatness of Jimi, especially live where he could evoke very strong emotions and swept away those who had the luck to hear him play live then, in a union with his guitar that seems to respond to his prompts in a sort of musical embrace that leaves you stunned, and I think I can say that Jimi represented in his way of playing the guitar in rock blues what the Beatles represented for the pop and rock music of that time, epoch-making, decisive changes and it's not even true that without Jimi and the Beatles, music itself wouldn't have evolved and thus progressed with new technologies that “help and not a little“ today's artists, but there wouldn't have been Jimi and the Beatles and excuse me if that's little...
One last thing, in the second disc, you will find a fantastic duet titled “Morrison's lament”, a real gem with Jimi and Jim, a spectacle I assure you... besides “Tomorrow never knows” again with the immense Jim... along with several collaborations with artists I believe of the era... In total there are 33 tracks many live, captivating pieces, a long journey through the "Jimi Hendrix experience".
Listen to it and let me know, 9.90 euros very well spent. Until next time...
